Support for TS problems

Problem # 1 tried to use Chat, discovered i was 101 in a queue - bailed out of that. Problem #2 Have ver, 9.5 installed, attempted to install 10.0; it appeared to install but I discovered that it didn't install, 9.5 was still active. Problem #3 When I tried to use 9.5 and entered a symbol it did nothing and all my saved symbols were gone. So at present TS is useless. Problem #4 attempted to use the Call appointment support function but kept getting . msg that the service was not available. If you can call, email me with expected call time window. Not a pissed customer but I'm getting there. Ed

Margin call

I had to call about 5 times before someone could determine how to rectify my quarry. Its comforting that I now know at least one representative is there that can answer questions posed.

User's recommendation: Keep calling until someone understanda your delicate matter. Eventually you will get the correct representative to assist.

Difficulty opening new account, and communicating with TradeStation in general.

In 2 weeks, unable to get answer to e-mail. They have no secure method of sending them messages and documents, only through e-mail or USPS mail etc. In Chat (which malfunctions and is difficult to copy, and typically takes 1/2 hour to start, where they don't let you post anything until the Chat agent is actually present), 2 rude reps gave false info. Refused to allow change of account name and type. Had to close original account and open a new one. TradeStation knew that this would be impossible (website malfunction). They then would not allow me to change the number of my "transfer to" account in an ACAT account transfer form that had cost me more than 5 hours worth of my time to prepare and get executed with a signature guarantee. That was the last straw. Bye bye. In general: There is a first rule of client relations, that is 100% foreign to TradeStation: Do not take an adverse action against a client trying to operate on your website, without giving the client a chance to override. Recommendation: Unless your last broker is really terrible (like the broker that promised me a secured loan at a low margin interest rate that never materialized, and under multiples of loan to assets that kept getting worse over the weeks), don't transfer to TradeStation. Fidelity (despite many problems, and unsuitable for trusts), TD Ameritrade (despite hidden fees), Etrade (but not for trusts), and Vanguard (reputedly) are better.
