Go elsewhere I am utterly disappointed with my experience with Touchstone Lofts and its owner, Paul Johal. This company has proven to be nothing but a nightmare from start to finish.

Despite paying a hefty sum of money upfront, I received no refund despite them failing to complete the agreed work. To put it plainly, the loft conversion that was supposed to be a relatively straightforward project took a mind-boggling 18 months to complete. This is an absolutely absurd amount of time for a simple job, and it demonstrates their complete lack of professionalism and commitment. Throughout the whole ordeal, Paul Johal consistently displayed a rude and arrogant attitude.

Communication was minimal and whenever I voiced my concerns or requested updates, he would dismiss them without providing any real answers. It was as if my satisfaction as a customer meant absolutely nothing to him. Not only did the project take an exorbitant amount of time, but the final result was of extremely poor quality. The workmanship was shoddy at best, with numerous mistakes and imperfections that should never have made it past their so-called "experts." It is evident that care and attention to detail were not priorities for them.

To add insult to injury, when requested, Touchstone Lofts failed to provide me with any building control documents. This is not only irresponsible and unlawful, but it also raises serious doubts about the safety and compliance of the work undertaken on my property. Overall, my experience with Touchstone Lofts and Paul Johal has been nothing short of disgusting.

Their lack of professionalism, their unresponsiveness, and their poor workmanship have left me feeling utterly frustrated and unsatisfied. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere for a competent and trustworthy company.

It's important for me to stress that leaving reviews and feedback about a service or product is a consumer's right, and threatening legal action for factual comments is not only inappropriate but also unethical, but this is what Touchstone Lofts did to me!

I was shocked and concerned to experience that Touchstone Lofts is discouraging clients from leaving feedback and threatening legal action for breach of contract when factual comments are posted on social media. I found this out to my cost.

This, however, does raise many questions about their professionalism, business practices, and customer service.

I know it's not uncommon for businesses to receive feedback, both positive and negative, especially in the building and construction industry, but customers rely on this type of information to make informed decisions about choosing a contractor or service provider, and any attempts to stifle this feedback are concerning.

I believe it's crucial for customers to have the freedom to express their experiences and opinions without fear of legal repercussions. To threaten legal action for factual comments that I made can be seen as a retaliatory action, which only serves to harm the company's reputation further.

From my experience with this company, I would suggest it's essential to find a service provider that prioritizes customer service and respects their customer's right to provide feedback, unfortunately, this is not one of those organizations. Honest businesses should welcome constructive criticism, look for ways to improve, and address any concerns with transparency and professionalism, but Touchstone Lofts are not interested in doing any of this.

In summary, it's disappointing to have experienced Touchstone Lofts using legal threats to discourage us and other customers from providing them with feedback.

This sends negative messages about the company's integrity and business practices. We suggest it's essential to find yourself a company with a more customer-focused approach and who values constructive feedback, not just constant five-star reviews.

I too had an awful experience with Touchstone Lofts. They spent more time manipulating reviews and covering up their shady practices than actually doing the work they were paid for.

When police showed up to question him about his team, it was clear that something fishy was going on. On top of all that, I found out that HMRC are currently investigating him and his company for tax "issues" - interesting to say the least!

But it's incredibly concerning to think that this company may not even be operating within the bounds of the law. Avoid Touchstone Lofts - there are plenty of reputable companies out there who will actually get the job done properly.
