Paying for defective part

MY TOILET IS LESS THAN 2 YRS OLD AND THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IT HAS BEEN MAKING THIS SQUEALING SOUND. I AM 65 AND NEVER HAD A TOILET DO THIS. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DESIGN DEFECT THAT U SHOULD COVER. OTHER THAN THE HORRIBLE NOISE AND INCONVENIENCE I HAD TO PAY $13.00. CAN U HELP

My toilet tank fractured

Toto - My toilet tank fractured
I had a Toto toilet with the tank ST 743 for about six years. Early one morning, the tank fractured when it was not in use. The bathroom was on the second floor and I had extensive damage on both floors totaling over $5,000. After bringing it to the attention of Toto management, I was told this has never happened before and it must have been due to a faulty installation, though the toilet was fine for 6 years prior to this incident. I know other families who have had Toto fractured tanks and I would urge people give to think twice before purchasing this toilet as the company does not stand behind their product.

User's recommendation: Beware of Toto products, toilets in specific.
