Verified Buyer |Broken bike sold, no support or news ever since
Purchased bike on May 30th, faulty item received Jun30th, company notified on July 1st, technician evaluated bike on July 11th, no news ever since. I ordered Schwinn indoor bike AC Performance Carbon Plus, including computer.
Paid $2,162 on May 30th. Due to COVID bike estimated to arrive in 2-3 weeks. Took 4-5 weeks, bike arrived on June 30. Bike arrived producing belt and crank noises.
Computer screen scratched. Company notified by email on July 1. Company arranged tech inspection that happened on July 11th. Company notified by tech about massive problems in bike.
Tech recommended return bike. I have been trying to talk to somebody at totalbodyexperts on the phone, email, and facebook for the last week. I haven't received any support about this issue. I understand that conditions are challenging but it simply takes a quick phone call/email to provide information.
I did my research and found this bike to be the best choice. I was disappointed to see that the bike sent was a lemon, and that was determined by the technician (see attached document). I paid a significant amount of money for a NEW bike, not a repaired or refurbished one. Based on that, and the disappointing service provided by totalbodyexperts, I want to return this broken item and receive a full refund of my money.
This return is NOT motivated by a change of mind or anything other than the fact that I was sent a broken bike and a scratched computer (valued in more than 100$). I refuse to pay 25% restocking fee for the return of the item. The company must be responsible for taking care of situations like this one.
I, as a client, did not incur in any fault of my own, I just paid the item in full when I was asked for and waited patiently for this to be solved. Unfortunately, I found myself writing this complaint as nothing was done.
