Torresdale pediatrics is an awesome place . Every time my son is sick , has a rash or if I simply just have a question to ask , they are always there for us .

The staff is sweet they call you right back and the doctors work hard to make sure your son / daughter is in good health . They have Saturday hours which I love . There is never a long wait. They are a great practice overall .

Never had an issue and my son is 3 . Thank you Torresdale pediatrics .

My underage son is too old for a pediatrician?

My 16 year old son needed to have a physical form filled out for school. It had been over a year since he had gotten a physical.

Since we just moved to the area, his pediatician back in Philadelphia was no longer convenient for us to get to so I did what any other person does when they move to a new area and I look for a doctor IN the area. I was told they couldn't accept him as a new patient because, at 16, he is too old. So now my son still does not have a doctor unless we travel 15 miles back to the old neighborhood.

If there business is good enough they can afford to turn away mine good for them. After reading the other reviews though I'm glad they turned me away.

Tooresdale Pediatrics is unprofessional and never has an MD on call

This physicians office is meant for low-income families (big no no #1), you can never get an MD, you always get the NP, they advertise all these doctors on there staff yet I've never had a doctor see my child, I don't pay to see the nurse, give me an actuall doctor. The front desk staff one is rude and acts like they don't see you standing in front of them (the black lady is REAL good for that), the other older white lady acts like she doesn't know what is going on, the police are ALWAYS in that area (no wonder all the CHIP kids get sent there)!

The *** nurses assistant stands around just waiting for work to come his way, your a nurses assistant, shouldn't you be assistanting the only Physician in the office (a Nurse Prac.) After you are seen by the nurses assistant, it seems like it takes 20-30 minutes for you to see a doctor (which isn't even a doctor).....then they do not apoligize for making you wait since they had to finish their lunch, or just leave you in the room and go to another patient. If you have 2 hours on your hands go to Torresdale Pediatric, if not, GO SOME WHERE ELSE. Also yesterday I had an appointment and felt so bad for this couple, they brought there son in for I guess a check up and it was after school hours so he was probably a little tired. Someone else came in and had the nerve to call the Police Dept.

on the father claiming he was hitting his son when all he was doing was taking him outside because he was crying and tired, they made the family wait in the room for 30 minutes until the police arrived and didn't bother to tell them Bensalem Police was coming. The father NEVER put his hands on his son except to cover his mouth because he was screaming. They questioned the poor man outside like he was a criminal and the son had to watch that while crying, then the podiatrist from across the street comes over and says there has been alot of police activity going on lately, but I think he wanted to be nosy and an ***. Torresdale Pediatric is trash, don't let the new building fool you, they have horrible customer service skills, you can never get through to make an appointment after 3:30-4 yet they close at 7 and they treat the "color" familes different then they do the Caucasion families.

Also The last comment from Nick and the January review from Ron, were written by one of the staff members. This place is a joke...after the incident from yesterday, I'm changing doctors, it's not worth it!!!!!!!

First off, this place is NOT for the "less income families or CHIP" patients!!!!

Second, has NOTHING to do with race!!

We have been coming here for 3 yrs now and have NEVER had a bad experience.

We see ALL the M.D's!!!! Yes, they have them.

Everything is about race ! wah wah wah !

This place is amazing , the staff is awesome and my son is always taking care of when we go here.

This Place is Awful!!!! I am Paralyzed and every time I take my daughter here (she just turned 1), they never help, EVEN WHEN I ASK!!!

This time however was the final straw. My daughter had an appt for her shots. After they were done, I asked if they could look at her finger because she likes to chew on it. The nurse said "No you need to make an appointment" SHE SAID THIS WHILE I WAS ALREADY IN THE ROOM!!!!

She then proceeded to take me to the check in station where I was told they had an appointment in 40 mins if I wanted to wait. THEN I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE ANOTHER CO-PAY!?!?!?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me!?!?!?!? I then told them I wanted to switch doctors, they did not care.

They said "Ok, heres the paperwork" Then they treated me like i was an *** because I asked them how to fill out the paperwork (meaning that I didn't know what forms to fill out fir what records were needed). The office manager then sarcastically asked me "Well, Whats your name? Whats your address??" It the most condensending tone ever.

I then asked to speak to the doctor to tell them personally why I would not returning to there office and was told by the office manager "She's busy, call and leave a message" The staff at this office is horrible. They have been horrible and will continue to be horrible.

I wholeheartedly disagree with this review. First of all it sounds a bit hateful and racist.

Secondly, yes it is heart breaking when our kids are suffering with a fever however if they do in fact only have a virus, there isn't any drugs that can be given; it just has to run its course.

You'd rather have your child be perscribed antibiotics they don't need and become immune to them so when they really need them God forbid, they won't work? Also, the only police activity with in that office are the parents of the patients as the office comes highly recommened among the Philly FOP and other law enforcement agencies (that's how we found out about them via my husband's co workers).

I have recently moved and it pained me to remove my three children from this practice. I have never found the office staff rude.

As a matter of fact, I would call just about every day with concerns and questions on one of my children who fell serious ill three weeks after birth, I kept saying how sorry I was to call, the reply I received was "that is why we are here, please call any time." Dr. Ron is by far one of the most caring doctors I have ever experienced for my children. I have had a few hospital ER visits for serious conditions and he has even showed up in the ER after his rounds to check in on us. His follow up and concern for the children and their parents is amazing.

About the wait, I understand the stress and amount of time sitting with children. I have twins and would wait and you as the parent have to expect that in any doctor office. But I never found the wait to terrible.

I hope anyone looking for doctors for their children will not let bad reviews turn you away from Torresdale Ped's. I found everyone has their own opinion, please create your own instead of taking a few negative posters reviews

I couldn't agree with you more! I just a few months ago switched from the pediatrician my daughter has had her whole life so far to these guys at Torresdale.

I've never been treated worse. All of the 4-5 times I've been in there with my daughter since we made the switch I've been treated and talked to in the nastiest of ways. First of all, My daughters primary care physician there is supposed to be a female Dr. Kuo, I've yet to even meet or see her.

I've been set up with a rude guy doctor and another new female doctor who both give me the same rude response when I go in for a emergency sick visit. They usually look at me and talk to me in a manner that makes me feel crazy, as if why did I even bring my daughter in to be seen? I'm also always told that there is not a *** thing they can do for my suffering right in front of them sick daughter. We both got maybe an hour sleep last night combines because shes so uncomfortable, feverish and sick.

I brought her in today to be seen and the same exact response I've been getting. This is the last straw and I AM DONE. When a child's health doesn't seem quite urgent to you, there are serious issues there. I'm on the prowl for a considerate compassionate doctor...

I want to warn everybody else who might be currently with the pediatrician or are looking into switching here.... save yourself the headache, heartache and frustration.

LOOK ELSE WHERE. :sigh
