Do not work with toplevelpr

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I received an email from crowdfundingmasterminds.com shortly after I launched my campaign on Kickstarter. I thought it was rather odd, I never subscribed to crowdfundingmasterminds.com and the website looks fishy. With a slow start a few days later, I decided to check the different platforms they suggest. I went along and ordered the "TOP LEVEL PLAN". All went just fine, until I received the pitches. They were badly written. And ended up writing them myself. Fast forward 14 days later and still no results. A big 0. I received exactly two online publications, if you can call it like that, on two meaningless blogs. Asked for my money back, but nobody even takes the curtesy to respond. I did a bit of research and found out that toplevelpr is a known scam. Sadly enough, I did not check them before placing the order. Had to call the bank to block the payment. A final Note: crowdfundingmasterminds.com promotes a range of companies or websites such as KickRank - GetYourBackers.com - Crowd Chirp - Gofundsystem and starts by telling that they are all best ranked and tested by them. It's a very odd approach, but I did not think about it before working together with toplevelpr and finding out they are a ripoff. I now checked each single company online, and all are known ripoffs. So starting to think it's the same people or some people working together and stealing money from crowdfunders in need.

Toplevelpr or crowdprguru is scamming kickstarter. Be Warned!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I came across one email that sounded very convincing and just what I needed to get my funding for my movie. The email was from Sean Abel of Crowd PR Guru (aka toplevelpr: I bought from toplevelpr's website, but it clearly shows crowdprguru on my financial statement). The email was convincing enough to contact him. After about a few times talking with him, he convinced me to spend $495.00. On the phone he promised me that his team knows what they are doing and they will get the traffic I needed and start making money on my Indiegogo campaign right away. I paid them the $495.00. Later that night, I checked the Internet out for reviews. In my horror and disbelief there were some scathing reviews about the treatment that people got from Crowd PR Guru aka toplevelpr. The next day, I spoke to Sean Abel, I told him to cancel and give me my money back because of the scathing reviews. He reassured me that those reviews were just coming from competitors. He then again reassured me that toplevelpr aka Crowd PR Guru will get the hits and money I needed. I believed him again and did not cancel. A week later, I did see that I did get some boost on my Indiegogo campaign. I also received some emails from Anthony Bernard, Media Specialist for Crowd PR Guru, that some site post my Movie on there. I got a meager 2,000 hits, but still no investors which still at “0” contributors on Indiegogo. I called Sean Abel and asked him about why I still was not getting more hits and investors contributing. He is supposed to be a Guru. As time went by, there were still very few hits on my Indiegogo campaign. I called again and wound up speaking to a publicist named David (not sure of last name). I spoke to him about the problem of why I was not getting any hits and investors. He gave me all kinds of excuses why their service was not successful. I waited till near the end of the campaign which was still at “0” contributions. I called again and I wound with talking the second time to David. He still told me he did not know why I was not getting more hits and no investors. I told him that he needs to get his team and make sure something happens. He told me that his team did everything they could and that they would relaunch their publicity the last week of my Indiegogo campaign. I asked him that if my campaign fails at the end, that Crowd PR Guru would relaunch another campaign for free. David told me they don’t do that and I would have to spend another $250 for a relaunch. I mentioned to him I paid that $495.00 and got no results. David did not care how I felt and was cold. He then said that he does not guarantee the traffic or contributors investing money. I told him that he was to be a Guru and it was their job to get them interested. I feel that is a real wrip off and they do not know what they are doing. They did not do enough to help me get my campaign funded and I paid a whopping $495.00 that absolutely way too much to charge! They did not get any contributors and only meager amount of hits on my site! I asked to send me everything they did. I got one email reply back, 4 days later. The pitch I got was not even mine, but for another campaign !! However, the pitch as exactly the same as mine... they do not even make personalized pitches (what they promise), but send the same pitch out, if they already do. I got ZERO (0) results from their efforts and zero proof! Their attitude is they were very uncaring and you will be wasting your money if you go with them. Their Customer Service is almost non-existent except with excuses. They don’t even have a refund policy were if you are dissatisfied with their service and unsuccessful results. They are definitely not GURUS in the business! Stay away from Crowd PR Guru aka toplevelpr and stay away from Sean, Anthony, and David!!! I am unsatisfied and urge all crowdfunders to stay from Crowd PR Guru aka toplevelpr aka turnkeypr!!!

TopLevelPR IS A SCAM!!!! BE WARNED!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES!!! I was also scammed by these guys. I hired toplevelpr = Crowd PR Guru for my crowdfunding campaign and they have delivered nothing but 2 random blog posts about my campaign. Not only that, but after taking my payment, they ignored several of my e-mails and phone calls about the campaign, and are refusing to give me a refund. Still waiting for someone on their team to behave like a professional and face this issue like any other reputable organization. Be aware of this company's unprofessional conduct.

This poster is correct. I also hired them for my kickstarter campaign and they did the exact same thing, two meaningless blog posts and nothing else.

They are definitely a scam and provide zero benefit to your campaign, so save your money.

After you pay them and send them an email to ask for any updates, they're short and rude in their response. Avoid them and avoid all the other scam companies you will get spam emails from if you launch a crowdfunding campaign, I used pretty much all of crowdfunding companies to try and get traffic to my campaign and they were all utterly useless.

TopLevelPr is also connected to CrowdfundSocial, I had a guy named Andrew contact me from crowdfundsocial and they're completely useless as well since toplevelpr and crowdfundsocial appear to be one in the same.

They are all scams, be smart and don't give your money to them.

TOPLEVELPR

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I paid what I thought was Top Level PR for marketing help on our crowdfunding campaign. It turns out, the real company is Crowd PR Guru, as shown on the credit card statement. Presumably, the company Crowd PR Guru markets itself under Top Level PR because of the many online complaints about the services paid for and not delivered by Crowd PR Guru. We have seen little evidence that the company has done any meaningful work aimed at gaining supporters for our Kickstarter campaign. In fact, at most one supporter who contributed $1 could possibly be attributed to Top Level PR / Crowd PR Guru. After trying to discuss our dissatisfaction with their services, the Top Level PR representatives refused to return our emails or calls

I attempted to use toplevelpr (or Crowd Pr Guru as I see on my bank statement) two weeks into my campaign, they said that it was ok to pay half upfront and the rest at the end of the Indiegogo campaign.

So we did so, they said that they were the best in the business and that they didn't just send out press releases but they pitch the story to their contacts.

Two weeks passed and no updates and no movement on our side. They claim that they are results driven, when the sites they put you on are fake dormant sites that they've either created or one of their associates have.

They send out templates, and are very nonchalant (I know this because one of their colleagues mistakenly sent me an email about another client, and the "pitch" was exactly like ours).

This company is a complete utter scam!

I'll strongly advise ANYONE that's been approached via their Kickstarter or Indiegogo not to go with them! I know that you don't have the money to lose, especially when you are raising funds for your project.

We also got an email from toplevelpr today. I checked online and found a lot of self published articles, which made me wonder.

So checked their domain information. They just started in feb 2016 (!) but claim to already have over 3000 customers :).

Thank you for bringing to my attention who's behind it. I'll do my marketing myself I guess :) .

TopLevelPR Is a scam! They claim to have helped thousands of campaigns, selected as the number one crowdfunding agency in the market, etc.

However:

1. They only exist since FEBRUARY 2016 !!

2. Secondly, there are only negative reviews (the real reviews, not their own marketing messages).

3. They claim the following: “ranked the #1 PR firm for crowdfunders by CF forums.

Which forums? There are no mentions, anywhere, except one fake own placed post and many asking who they are + already (they are only 3 months old) reviews from people who got scammed by toplevelpr.com.

4. All their reviews are fake! Non of the Kickstarter or Indiegogo campaigns really exist, and the crowdfunding campaigns they mention finished long before they even started with their ‘service’.

Which is… only 3 months ago.

5. The team picture they use: stolen from the KIA PR agency in Eastern Europe… They are a SCAM!

They sold me on their pitch. Showed me sites that they promoted, supposedly.

Very good at ramping me up. I needed help for certain, and, thanks to them, still do.

I will file a complaint and get my money back somehow. It will be top on my list tomorrow.

They did offer a campaign pitch...never showed me the corrected copies or proof that, besides to me, anything at all when out. How are they allowed to do this?

Never use them...

all three that I have tried are scams! The whole crowd funding thing is a scam!

Kickrank

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I used Kickrank after a suggestion by crowdfundingmasterminds.com/Crowdfunding Center Organization/Crowdfunding Center who sent me an email. Part of the email below. I only after working with Kickrank, decided to have a closer look at how they got my email address as I never subscribed to their website (nobody will, check it out). I then searched for information behind all parties they listed as top ranked. All three of them are scams... I sadly discovered it too late. Start of scammer's email: "This week the Crowdfund Mastermind Group reviewed some of the biggest crowdfund marketing services and scored them based on member input, info available online, ease of use, cost, and targeting methods used. These reviews were also compiled from our own crowdfunding community polls, which was based on their own experiences with the following services and their feedback. "end of scammers email intro". They give story about Kickrank having a great reputation online for getting results. Which reputation? Where? If I would have only find out before... After signing up with Kickrank, the guys were nice: I received a follow up email, and they promised the press release to be ready the day after, which took them 3 days at the end. It went downwards after that. Nothing they promise on their website has anything of value. Except that they do back my campaign for a small amount, so I at least get that part back. But that is it. They use low quality press release sharing, their "top backlinks" are only Fiverr bought fake bot links (I had Google Analytics running at the same time, which I did not tell them), ... Kickrank is a ripoff. They offer 'services' and will deliver you 'something', but non of it has any value. Given, the press release was ok written, not worth close to 600 USD! All the rest was bullocks.
