I had quality issues with the first service but, in response to another review posted here, the issues were taken care of in a timely manner as per Top Local Maids Satisfaction Guarantee Policy. I guess is just a matter of understanding the company's policy before committing to a service.

In my view, the quality issues were resolved properly. Not the cheapest service out there but they delivered what was promised.

Worst cleaning ever!

I paid for a DEEP cleaning, but got the worst cleaning I've ever had in 30+ years of experience. I've had my homes professionally cleaned for many years.

Due to a prolonged illness, I've had a live-in helper who was supposed to do all the housework (in exchange for free rent), so I paused my normal cleaning schedule. Unfortunately, she's done a terrible job of keeping the house clean and, in desperation, I decided to have a deep cleaning done. I wrote out a very clear, very explicit description that the house had been neglected and needed a DEEP cleaning; I said that when it's done I expect the house to be spotless.

They only sent one person--and she barely understood English. They scheduled her for 3 hours.

I normally have a 3-person crew come and spend at least 1-1/2 hours (4-1/2 man hours)--and that's when the cleaning has been kept up. Due to some remodeling I'm having done, I eliminated some of the rooms the cleaners were supposed to do, so it ended up only being one bedroom, kitchen, living room, dining room, den, entry area and a small hallway.

When booking the job I answered 'yes' to wanting windows washed--that didn't happen. I had to tell the cleaner to mop the floors. I had to tell her to dust the furniture.

I had to tell her to clean my closet doors. I'm ill. I'm basically bed-bound. Before she left I did a very brief, cursory look at the kitchen, only, and told her it looked good.

I didn't take a close look at the whole house until later. And I took pictures to prove what an AWFUL job she had done. See my pics for a tiny glimpse.

The picture of the white paper towel--I dampened the towel with water, not even any kind of cleaning solution, and wiped one slat of my closet doors, and you can see the result. Disgusting.

Lamp bases were left covered in dust, furniture was not dusted or polished, cat and dog hair was not cleaned up...just awful. I've written three e-mails to them so far, and included a lot of pictures, and left voice mail once--haven't heard a word back yet. I've warned them that I'm going to file complaints with American Express, the Better Business Bureau, Porch.com (where I found them), and write terrible reviews online. I want a refund.

Their 100% satisfaction guarantee says they'll re-do the job, but I don't ever want them in my house again.

Just a refund. Calling themselves professional and experts at cleaning is laughable!

The maid is also making my husband cheat on me. She turned him on. Now I find out that he and her slept together

No full refund. Clean your own house if you cannot afford a maid.

Excuse me? I've been paying maids for over 30 years.

Just because THIS one did a horrible job doesn't mean I can't afford to hire them. What an idiotic remark.

Extremely poor customer service! People beware Top Local Maids require a deposit to make an appointment please do your research before contacting them for services!!!

They cancel appointments give you the runaround change your time without verbal confirmation. Juliana was extreme rude and will talk right over you! There are so many people these days that are hard workers and truly need your money please contact any other cleaning service! Not Top Local Maids!!!

I ended up cleaning my elderly disabled mothers home myself after Top Local Maids ripped me off $160 I could not afford to hire another cleaning service! I got an email stating I was getting a refund with a reference number and everything come to find out the general manager of Top Local Maids claims it was sent to me by mistake unless you have money to spare I highly recommend you stay away from Top Local Maids!!!

I couldn't agree more! The "deep cleaning" they did on four rooms of my house--for $300!--was the absolute WORST cleaning I've ever had, and that spans 30+ years of having my houses professionally cleaned. Look on the bright side: you only lost $160!
