I was never refunded the rest of my money.

Original review updated Dec 05, 2024
My oldest son recently passed away in October. My other children flew to Florida for the funeral.

They then decided to come back to Florida for Thanksgiving. My youngest son could only stay for 3 days, so I wanted to do something special since I was in no mood for entertaining on the previous trip. I called this airboat company to schedule a ride for 5 people. Paid in advance, because that is what is required, but explained to the lady that we were coming straight from the airport.

And that if I could not make it in time, could I get a refund. She told me to just call her on my way to the airport to let her know my situation. On a normal day we could've made it on time but because it was the day before Thanksgiving the airport was crowded. I called her around 2 pm to let her know I didn't think I would make it on time.

I ask her if I would get my refund. She then told me it was policy that I would only get half my money back because I didn't call 24 hours in advance. This was not the conversation I had with the lady I previously talked to. Needless to say this company kept half my money for not doing anything.

Only because I was trying to do something nice for my grieving family.

What a rip-off insensitive company. Don't ever choose this company for a airboat ride.
