Avoid using this company. They should do a trial first otherwise you're stuck paying for food that might not even be worth what they charge, for us, significantly low on the quality side.

Original review updated Sep 14, 2025
We signed up for Tiny Spoon Chef expecting high-quality meals from a professional chef, but the experience was a disappointment. The individual assigned to us did not perform at the level the company advertises or what would be considered the industry standard.

The meals lacked skill and consistency, and even after we gave feedback, nothing meaningful changed.
As a premium service, we expected it to deliver and hoped it would fit our busy lifestyle. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the promise or the hype.
From the beginning, I asked directly if there were any commitments or contracts, and was told no; that we could cancel anytime. Later, when we raised concerns about quality, the company responded that we should give the chef four weeks to adapt to our style. But once we realized that paying for additional weeks was not going to resolve the lack of skill, they turned that suggestion into a supposed minimum requirement.

They then tried to enforce it as a commitment, despite originally stating there was none.
Their Terms of Service never mention a cancellation fee, yet they attempted to charge one when we stopped. Instead of addressing our concerns, they brushed everything off as a learning process and leaned on this hidden fee and commitments.

This is deceptive and unprofessional. I cannot recommend this company.

Preferred solution: Full refund

User's recommendation: Look at local options, I would not use Tiny Spoon Chef.
