Tiny Loving Canines Dog Adoption Review from Moorpark, California

Visited this facility from a recommendation from a friend, and I have to say I'm disappointed. I was greeted at the door by Audrey who seemed like I was annoying her just by coming in.

I was talking to her about adopting and she recommended a dog named DesiArnes. She then proceeded to push this dog on me, she was very very pushy, like a car sales man. When I asked her to see another, she took the dog away ,very annoyed and I saw her roll her eyes and sigh heavily.

At that point I just left. This is no way to treat someone who was willing to adopt.

Absolutely atrocious, I recently decided to visit this rescue, the place is very disorganized and the dogs are laying in tiny tubs! It looked like 2 for every 5 dogs.

*** and urine everywhere in the dog crates, most of them didn't have water either. There was a very strong ammonia smell coming from behind one of the doors. The owner of this rescue is very rude. She was criticizing and almost yelling at me for saying I got my previous dog from a breeder.

I also noticed her smoking in the puppy nursery. Great job.

Ah... the downfall of social media...

Anyone can post anything about anyone or any organization without evidence... Vaping is not smoking, nor does TLC have 'urine everywhere'...

And yes, our dogs have red totes we put their beds in... It keeps them from sleeping in a bed that another dog has lifted their leg on...

The tote catches the piddle, the tote is easily wiped off and our beds last longer without having to be washed every day.

Beyond this, telling someone they cannot adopt a puppy because they do not have enough time in their lifestyle to commit to a puppy generally produces one of these kinds of postings. Because you WANT something does not mean we have to place a puppy in a bad situation.

It was not "Vaping" as you say, I CLEARLY saw a cigarette, and it clearly smelled like CIGARETTE smoke. "Vaping" does not have that smell.

TLC deletes "bad reviews" from their GoFundMe.com page

Tiny Loving Canines, Inc CALLED MY employer after seeing a "negative" but TRUE complaint online from me and complained to my employer that I left a "bad" review about them online. Not that my employer cares when YOU ARE IN THE WRONG but that goes to show how nasty this company truly is.

Specifically "Director" Linda Nelson who should NOT be working for this company because she left such a TERRIBLE experience. TLC also wants to take money from the public on gofundme.com but DELETES the "negative" but TRUE complaints from it. I left my horrible experience on their gofundme page so the public is well aware of my experience and EVERY time it was deleted. They actually DISABLED the ability to leave comments on their page.

Then they contacted their lawyer and had their lawyer contact me and asked me to "stop leaving bad reviews online".

Maybe if I didn't get such a BAD experience I wouldn't leave "bad reviews" to begin with. TERRIBLE COMPANY.

Should be noted that although legally we were not required to refund the adoption donation, we did so in the hopes it would be used towards this puppy's vet care. After receiving a refund, this woman and her son wanted even more monies and if not received, threatened to use social media to extort these funds.

They then trolled at least 7 websites, and wrote slandering and inaccurate reviews. Internet bullying and harassment should not be condoned by anyone, but certainly not used by a teacher who should be role model to her son as well.

Tiny Loving Canines - Vet Service Review from Los Angeles, California

TLC in Simi Valley, CA sold me a puppy WITH PARVO. Did not inform me about this but was so eager and happy to take my $500 (the employee even said I know $500 is over the top but your paying to keep our company in business.) Shortly after having my new loved puppy I noticed extreme behavior/appearance changes. Took her to the vet and was informed the puppy has parvo. I call TLC and before mentioning anything about parvo Aubrey Lancaster who is an Assistant Manager tells me they will be refunding my $500 and the director Linda Nelson will be calling me. Linda Nelson calls shortly after and tells me my new puppy was with 4 other puppies and one had parvo. Which now means if my new puppy has it they all have it. I inform Linda Nelson my puppy has been hospitalized and now I'm occurring extreme pet bills. Linda then turned rude extremely rude. I tell her I would put this horrible experience on social media so no one else has to go through this. Linda says I'm a bully and wanted to hear nothing anymore and instead calls me a *** and tells me to euthanize my new puppy and hangs the phone up. I call TLC back and Aubrey answers and is very brief with me. She refunds my $500 and hangs up. I adopted my new puppy on the February 4th and picked her up from TLC February 5th. Not even a week of having her and she's hospitalized. TLC did NOT call and inform me about this I had to call and find out on my own. Which explains why as soon as I call the first thing you guys mention is I will have a full $500 refund and Linda will be in touch.

I just lost my dog who I've had for 10 years. I went to TLC because I was ready to care and grow with a puppy like I did with my previous dog. I'm a huge dog lover and right when I saw the puppy at TLC I fell in love. Just holding her brought tears to my eyes and reminded me of my dog who passed. My new puppy is in the hospital trying to recover and get rid of this parvo but there is no guarantee she will make it. Being told to just euthanize my dog was unbelievable yet alone being called a ***. I highly recommend DO NOT buy from this place. Do not go through what I just did.

Both reviews are by the same person. Puppy saw two different vets who cleared the puppy as healthy - two weeks later, owner says the puppy is now ill.

Rescue has no control over what the puppy is exposed to once it leaves their care, but in the interest of good will, the rescue refunded the adoption donation (legally not required) in the hopes if indeed the puppy was sick, it was used towards any vet care. That was not enough - new owner threatened to use social media unless even more money was given.

Can we say "shake down" or extortion? A month later, the rescue has yet to see proof the puppy was ever ill.
