Owner treats workers and customers terribly. Owner curses out workers in front of customers and children and gets belligerent towards customers when asked to stop being aggressive.

AI Highlights
  • Inserted $20; machine made noise, no tokens; attendant had no refund.
  • Owner Rob Byrnes not replying to refunds; quarters not accepted.

I inserted $20 into the token machine because I did not have a smaller bill. The token machine just made few sounds and not a single token was dispensed.

The attendant told me he had no money for refund and recommending calling the owner Rob Byrnes. I left a message on his machine with no response. One cannot use quarters there like at Colonial Laundromat which has full time courtious attendants since Tiny Bubbles accept only their own tokens. You have to bring a swath of singles if you don't not want to lose $20 or go somewhere else.

2 years ago I inserted 2 tokens ($1) in dryer which did not start after pushing the Start button.

I called the owner, he told me to send him a letter with date/time and my address for refund. I have not received the refund in over 2 years.

Perhaps BBB, Chamber of Commerce, City or whoever issued him a business license can take care of it.

Loss:
$21
Cons:
  • No refund on 20 dollars lost in token machine
  • No refund on money lost in dryer

Preferred solution: Full refund

AI Highlights
  • Many washers were not working.
  • The working washers had detergent, bleach, or dirt.
  • A moody employee; Colonial Laundromat has two locations.

This is the worst laundromat i have ever been to. About half the washers were not working.

The ones that were, had detergent, beach and/or dirt on them. There was a moody employee there that acted annoyed i even spoke ro them. I explained i did not want get extra coins ro bring home and have to remember for next time (although i had already decided i was never going to be back). Teust me now, just go to Colonial Laudromat which have 2 locations, in the village of Liverpool and on rt.

57 near Tops. Well worth the drive.

WHAT A NIGHTMARE

AI Highlights
  • New employee Cynthia hassled me, lifting lids and spraying chemical cleaner on my magazine.
  • Rob arrived, shouted, swore, and spat toward me; I won’t be back.

I had been doing laundry here for a year and half. A new employee, an elderly woman named Cynthia, began hassling me last week. When I first walked in the door, she told me not to use a whole row of low-priced washing machines. I had never seen her before, and I told her these were the ones I preferred using.

After that, she kept walking over and lifting the lid on the washing machines I was using, and accused me of overloading them. I told her they were well below the water level, but I’d take some and put them in a fourth washer (just being polite). Next she continued lifting the lids of the washers I was using, and when I stepped outside for a minute, she purposely sprayed my magazine with chemical cleaner. Finally I asked her to just leave it alone.

Today I came in to do laundry, and Cynthia immediately gets in my face, jabbing at me with a pointed finger. I said, “First of all, why are you pointing your finger at me? And secondly, could you just leave me alone?” Cynthia then proceeded to call Rob, the laundromat owner. I figured he would appreciate my business, and talk to his new employee about her abrasive behavior.

When Rob arrived, he began shouting without even looking into the situation. I showed him the washer I was using, and how it was only filled halfway. I asked Rob to stop shouting, since I had not raised my voice, to which he screamed louder, swearing, and leaning in closer, jabbing his finger at me. His spit was flying out onto my face, and some of his spit actually got in my mouth. I hope Rob doesn’t have AIDS.

I told him this isn’t a good way to treat customers. After Rob made more threats, I asked him if he was feeling tough. He walked away mumbling. Needless to say, I won’t be coming back, but I hope this experience doesn’t happen to other customers!

I, too, had a run-up with Cynthia, although I didn't know that his her name until reading the post. Overbearing, menacing, harassing are three words to describe her behavior.

I twice asked her to stay away from the machines I was using. She told me that I could "pound salt". Lol.

I would have loved to have talked with Rob. Interesting, I haven't seen "her" there in a few months.

You're better than me, bcuz that's the day Rob would've gotten f#%ked up!!! End of Story!!

Jakeya Fps

You can't catch AIDS through saliva. Sheesh.

I feel as though your story is lacking a couple of important details unless it's common in your area for business owners to just harass, threaten, verbally abuse and assault their customers with jabbing fingers completely unwarranted.

I'd love to hear what Rob has to say about all of this.

Tiny bubbles laundry Syracuse / Liverpool

AI Highlights
  • I use the laundry weekly and would recommend it.
  • It is clean and the staff are friendly.
  • It has good equipment and saves money.

I use the laundry weekly and always recommend it. It is always clean and the people that work there have always been friendly.

They have good equipment and I save $ too. Sure you are talking about the right place? There is another laundrymat up the street at the corner of 370 and Longbranch. If you go there, park in the back and there is an automatic door.

The lady in the morning will teach you the machines.

At night they generrally have sports on a big TV. The more I think of it, I wonder if you are one of the other laundrymats trying to trash there name.

Laundromat owner swears at customers

AI Highlights
  • Owner demanded I move my car so he could plow.
  • He yelled, swore and called me names.
  • He made me take laundry home wet and asked where I live and work.

I went to tiny bubbles laundromat in liverpool NY today and the owner demanded me to move my car so that he could plow. I did, then came inside to put my laundry in the dryers.

He came in and started telling me about the laundromat. I am going through a divorce, and wasn't feeling up to talking, so i said "I don't really want to talk right now." Well, BIG mistake there, let me tell you. He started yelling that I was a b**** with an attitude and telling me to *** off. For real.

He yerlled it over and over again. I told him this wasnt very good customer service, and he swore in my face five or six more times, and called me degrading names. then he made me take all my laundry out of the dryers and take it home wet. He kept asking me where I live and work.

I left in tears.

There were other people in the laundromat at the time, they pulled there laundry out of the dryers and got out as fast as they could before he went after them.

Needless to say i will be going back to colonial laundromat.
