If the company was legit it wouldn't be deceptive and *** off potential future customers. Now, if I find a company works with thumbtack, I don't want to have anything to do with them. I have been a registered professional twice now.The first time, after one month, I got terribly annoyed with all of the emails/texts announcing jobs, none of which were willing to pay anywhere near the market rate for the services requested. I am a professional caterer, in business for 20 years, licensed and insured, with a commercial kitchen from which I work. The one person said she had her license and certification. I believed her because I thought Thumbtack wouldn't have allowed her to submit if she hadn't. Well it turned out that all she had to do to qualify for Thumbtack was have an EIN number, which you can just apply for and get in the mail.
