Ive been trying to see a dr there since February 2023- I came back from Australia with a hip and knee injury. Ive had at least 4 appointments that I have to drive over 100 miles for and nothing has gone right so far; only have consulted a PA with extremely poor bedside manners, a fast talker who understands nothing about the hypothyroidism and the metabolism of a 70 yr old women! All he has to say to me is that I need to lose weight; its not that easy with an injured hip and torn meniscus to exercise!!! Next consultation in their Pain Clinic went terribly wrong as well; nurse said I would get a tranquilizer before a procedure to stick a needle into my injured hip- she never called the prescription into my pharmacy. I was told yesterday it was too late to get the meds now because it has to be taken at home before arrival at the hospital. I was never told that I needed a person to be with me at the hospital and then my procedure time was changed from 10am to 7:15 am without notice! Living over an hour away from this hospital means departing at 5:30am- I cant ask my friend to get up that early, we are elderly people and do not like driving in the dark! Im very frustrated with the poor organization and care at this hospital. Im still in terrible pain since my original injury on Jan 31, without any care or meds from this hospital!
