AI Highlights
  • - They printed my T-shirts slowly.
  • - I paid 99/mo for design service that only happened once.
  • - They never paid the net income I earned from selling shirts.

I trusted this company to print my brands T-shirts. They printed them, but super slow.

Apart of my membership of 99 a month I was told I would get design service. Lets just say that only happened 1 TIME. After having such a hard time getting any of my questions asked or solved...I ended up canceling my service because I wasn't going to keep payin 99 a month and not get what I was paying for. On top of all this...they NEVER PAID me for the NET INCOME that I MADE selling MY SHIRTS.

So not only did they make money off of me for the services, but also took and stole the money I MADE selling these shirts. They owe me so much money and refuse to do what is right.

Update to my last review. We opened our shop up in March and have yet to be paid any profits from threadsly as on July 5th. We also have yet to hear back from the ceo on our account issues and are missing two refunds still that we have already refunded the clients for out of our own money.

Original review Jun 28, 2018

We tried Threadsly for 8 months and don’t recommend their service. Here are our biggest complaints we have with the Threadsly model and hope to save you the money and time.

1. They charge a $99 a month fee unlike all of the other major print on demand companies and provide less.

2. Design time can take weeks to complete. Their process is extremely slow. With other providers such as printful you can design and add your product within minutes.

3. Turnaround times were said to be 7-10 days. Our first order through threadsly took over a months time. They said it was due to initial set up of our products. Our second and third set of orders were well over 12+ days and a month later a product to a client was still not printed or shipped. Our printful account we have now our products arrive anywhere from 2-7 days. Threadsly has extremely poor turnaround and drop ship times. Living in the world of everyone wanting things right now this was a very big issue for us. Dealing with customer complaints about how long orders were taking on was very frustrating.

4. Communication takes a long time and a few times we even thought threadsly had gone out of business due to the lack of response on their end. Their phone was even shut down at a point. Their company founder would net even return a phone call that She said would happen after voicing our concerns, after 25 days still no call.

5. Quality. The prints on their hats don’t work. They use a screen printer for the hat designs due to the seams on the hat and material all of the hats we ordered had poor print quality. T-shirt’s also had printing the was crooked. They will correct these issues they said but due to the lag time on printing and shipping each order out order you need to be prepared for how long it will take to replace a defective item at their current rates. Not to mention the inconvenience to your customers.

6. Stock issues. A lot of time products are out of stock and they have no current system in place to notify you. We were missing an item from an order for a month before they told us after inquiring about it time and time again that it was out of stock. So you will have items in your shop that you won’t know if there available or not unless an order is placed and you end up getting a hold of threadsly to see where the item is in production. At that point they tell you if it’s out of stock. They did tell us at that point to try and carry more of their basics that tend to be in stock. The problem is on their interface you can’t tell what is and isn’t basic it is not listed. So again you have to wait for a response from them that can take weeks to let you know an answer to any question you may have about your shop.

7. Variety, they only carry shirts, hats and totes. So not nearly as much as the other big competitors.

Overall if you want to run a shop that is quick, efficient, and accommodating to your customers we rate Threadsly a 1 our of 10. Printful has been amazing from the get go for us after moving from threadsly. It’s easy to use, products you can make in minutes and start selling immediately, stock is in real time, shipping is fast and efficient. They have a customer service line that is always answered, important when clients need answers right away about their orders.

Update it is on 7/17 and no call back from the owner and no payment received on the items we sold. So essentially they have not only ripped us off from a business standpoint but they have now withheld our profits and stole from us.
