Selective harassment and rule enforcement

Original review updated by user Jan 22, 2021
This Complaint is File Under Fear of Retaliation from Thousand Trails Pio Pico Management. On a January 22nd, 2021 while at Thousand Trails Pio Pico Campground we received a "Friendly Reminder" regarding the following park rules "Selling items from your site is not permissible" issued by Ranger Terry B. When I spoke to Ranger Manager Sheila who has been employed in that capacity for only 4 months advising her for months site members RV, that if we can't sell items they shouldn't be able too, and to go after the old violators then the new (like us). She replied that she has only been in management for 4 months. I advised her that if we can't sell other members should receive a notice today as we received one and that we were submitting a complaint to corporate today. She replied that she has only been in management for 4 months and mentioned no action she would take on other violators and reverted by to the rule, even mentioning what kind of flags (US Flag, etc.,) can be demonstrated by site members which I could not find in the rules. Can we put a US Flag upside down, giving that our Country is in distress? Can we put flags of other countries? Can we post flags connected to religion up? THIS NEEDS CLARIFICATION. If this is not enough it seems like every other week this site has electrical and water issues for hours causing significant inconvenience to site members, yet they offer no compensation back for such inconvenience. WE ARE PISSED!!! and fear retaliation for us lodging our complaint via here and through contact us Thousand Trials, but businesses like this need to be held accountable and shouldnt be engaging in unethical and unprofessional practices). In this case, Selective harassment and rule enforcement on members or providing shoddy service...

User's recommendation: File Complaints on all Matters Against Thousand Trails.

They won't cancel my membership and they autocharged renewal

We were fairly satisfied with the service for the year we signed up, but due to family circumstance we cannot camp this year and multiple calls, emails, requests to not renew went unanswered-apparently they auto renew if "they don't hear from you to cancel" but when you try to cancel, for months, they do not cancel and then say you are late with payment and autocharge the card you initial paid with the year before. I am very disappointed with them not cancelling when it was requested, had to cancel my cc and file a complaint. I did what member service advised me to do, email to cancel, but they say they never got requests. I have many emails to prove it.I requested cancellation over a month before renewal due. I was going to renew next year, but will not after bad experience with them not renewing as I requested cancellation multiple times. I am still trying get cancelled. Once you sign up, they continue to auto-renew, no way to get them to respond to repeated attempts to cancel. Been working to cancel for couple months now. And today they charged my credit card to renew. Bad business practice.

User's recommendation: Don't due it, they will auto renew and go after you even if you cancel ahead of time as requested. They are unresponsive if you want to cancel. They auto renew and put in on your charge card. No way to cancel.
