On 3rd April, I placed 2 orders for personalised Easter Eggs and received confirmation emails. order numbers 000342**** and 000341**** Neither order has arrived, and despite trying numerous times to get through on the phone, by your on-line message service and email direct, we have had no response and the eggs have not been delivered. For one of the orders, I received an email yesterday to say the order had been dispatched through Evri, but today , according to the Evri tracking website, the order is still not with them. With regard to the other order placed within an hour of the first one , we have heard nothing. I realise that this is a busy time, but if you know that you are too busy to deliver Easter Eggs in time for Easter, then stop taking orders !!! ...or make it clear on your website that they will not be delivered in time! ...and to close all telephone lines for a system upgrade at what obviously is one of the busiest times of the year is ludicrous .It is now the wednesday after Easter and my grand children have not received their eggs, and we are unable to make contact with Thorntons to ascertain what is happening. Very poor service...not dealing with customers when it is obvious that you have issues.
