Verified ReviewerResolved: I need to get a refund on my recently purchased glasses
- Glasses fit in a plastic keychain base.
- The idea was great to avoid losing glasses.
- After the third use they wouldn't come out.
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product replacement. I first called ThinOptics and left a voicemail about my dissatisfaction with their product.
One of their representatives got back in touch with me and offered two choices. The first was a refund but it takes 10 to 14 days or a replacement and no cost to me. With the refund I was going to lose the shipping fee. Since I really like the products I thought I would give them another shot and let them send me a replacement.
I sure hope I did the right thing.
Leave a very detailed voicemail as customer service does it answer live. Decide whether it is worth it to wait 14 days and lose some of your initial investment or get a replacement.
When I received the glasses, I thought, this is exactly what I need. Unfortunately, on about the third time that I tried to put the glasses inside of the plastic keychain piece, they wouldn't come back out.
I have left a voicemail and my phone number for someone to get back in touch with me about a refund. That has not happened as of yet.
- Fantastic idea
- Poorly made
Preferred solution: Full refund
User's recommendation: Some of Thin Optics products might be fine but the keychain version of this product is useless.
Dishonest company - avoid at all costs!
- Phone number not answered; emails dangle and auto-tracking link is dead.
- Credit card charge reversed due to no return label.
Cannot contact them. Phone number is not answered, customer service and support emails dangle, - auto responses provided link to track complaint progress, but it was dead.
Had to have credit card company reverse the charge because I couldn't get ThinOptics to respond with a return label. Horrible.
User's recommendation: Avoid. Not reputable!

Verified Reviewer |Wrong cases
- Ordered two bifocals with small cases for iPhone 13/8.
- They want an attachable or key-chain protector case for the glasses.
- Cannot reach support.
I ordered two pair of bifocals with the small cases to stick to my current iPhone 13 and iPhone 8. I received two iPhone cases it fits my iPhone 13 but not my husband iPhone 8.
I would like to have the small case that you can attach to my own iPhone cases. Or the key chains cases. I cant carry the glasses with out a protector case around. Wanted it for Christmas for my husband.
I sent several emails and called cant reach anyone to get help.
Over a week ago!! Order #TPX519980
- Pros like bifocals
- Cons no one to contact to resolve issues
- Want resolution
Preferred solution: Small cases to attach to current cases, or keychain cases
User's recommendation: Make sure you know what you are buying and if they have customer service

User's recommendation: A great and reliable company
Nice glasses, but worthless customer service
- I was a happy customer, but delivery is delayed 36 days.
- I’ve contacted customer service repeatedly with no result.
My ThinOptics order of 2 glasses FINALLY arrived, taking FORTY TWO DAYS (6 weeks) to fulfill. The lesson here is that you never want to go through ThinOptics to order and instead only order these through Amazon, using their free shipping. Mine only took ONE DAY to get my order using their Amazon Prime program.
I ordered a set maybe 2 yrs ago and liked them. So I ordered a couple more for Christmas gifts and we're now at 36 days without a delivery as yet.
Talked with the customer service numerous times and all they say is they'll look into it but nothing ever happens. I was once a happy customer, but no more.
- Glasses i received are good
- 2 sets of glasses that i ordered but never received
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
