Bought brand new programmable thermostat TWO WEEKS ago and had them installed by local, reputable company. My house is now hotter inside than the outside temperature and the customer service rep tells me to replace the thermostat after asking me 4 questions.
I sat on hold for over half hour to be told to replace a two week old thermostat.
Yea, right. Thanks for nothing!
Honeywell - Poor customer service
by AgedHermitCrab #15394881.0
Does not stand by it's product. Bought brand new house.
Honeywell thermostats throughout. One does not work. 5 year warranty. Customer Service states the warranty is through the HVAC company and not myself.
Who do they think paid for their worthwhile product? Listen to everyone else when the tell you the customer service is worthless.
So many other reputable companies that stand by their products. Avoid all Honeywell products.
Carrier - 4 Failed thermostat s and will not replace a 5th time!
by SoupyRussianBlue560 #15751901.0
I had a Carrier heat pump and ac unit installed in 2010. Worked great until 2017 when the thermostat failed. It was replaced under warrantee, free.
Lasted 6 months when again it failed. Under warrantee , free replacement! 2018- same thing, twice. Now it has failed again and they refuse to replace it.
Do they not understand they are giving me defective products as replacements since 2017. I WILL NOT buy another Carrier product.

Purchase a new WiFi Color Smart Thermostat to replace my Honeywell T5 unit downstairs. Hooked the thing up, and it was OFF but was blowing hot air (summertime in Memphis, should be AC not heat). Uninstalled and reinstalled it again. Wires are hooked up correctly AND the...
Honeywell - ARRRRGH! Thermostat WiFi software is always down, POOR customer service
by PissedConsumer1482438 #1482438
The thermostat works fine - as long as you are standing in front of it. If, like me, you want the convenience of using Wi-Fi to change the settings, you might want to find another company that has good software and thinks of its customers.
The software that supports the thermostats goes down frequently giving your cryptic messages about not communicating with the thermostat. If you check the website, it says the app is fine. If you call Residio (they support Honeywell products - assuming you can get through or don't get hung up on), they'll tell you they're doing maintenance.
Mind you, it's the middle of the day, and they don't notify their customers. I'm replacing my Honeywell thermostats with a more reliable brand.

Purchased the thermostat about 6 months ago. Stopped working and tried to contact customer service via phone, chat, email, and honestly the worst.
Non responded for almost an hour and when they did, they directed me to another “spinoff company” of Honeywell. Way to pass the buck to someone else. Unfortunately could not locate the receipt to try and get something back.
Never going to purchase another Honeywell again. Moving on.
Honeywell - Lyric wi fi thermostat

It took forever to get the thermostat registered and then connected to the APP. Now the App shows that the thermostat is connected and working but the picture of it does not show on the app so I can't check or change settings.
I have been trying to call and/or get on a chat.
I have accomplished neither in over 2 hours of trying. This is the worst support I have ever had with a product
