Thermodyne Wind Turbine Scam Rip off poor quality dangerous garbage
- Purchased four Thermodyne Wind Turbines; two coils burned out and two brackets broke.
- Front bracket cracked, risking the generator head falling.
I purchased four Thermodyne Wind Turbines. Two of them had the coil burn up and the other 2 had the brackets break.
These things are made poorly and are dangerous and in one instance the entire front of the bracket cracked leaving the generator head free to fall and injure someone. You would think that someone when confronted with having a safety hazard on the market would want to get the product back. Not the people at Thermodyne. The brilliant people’s solution was to replace product.
Sound like a great idea get another set of defective product to break and hope no one in injured. This product is defective and the bracket literally exploded in a tilting configuration in wind less than 50 mph. The entire reason we bought these was the advertisement that they could handle high wind.
We are relatively rural and no one was around when this happened. With this type of dangerous product the next guys may not be so lucky so I am writing this since the company does not have the decency to pull their defective product.

Thermodyne Systems T REX RIP OFF
- Thermodyne Systems claimed 1600 watts and longer TRex blades.
- The turbine produced little power on a 12V system, despite tests.
- Reviewer calls it junk.
Thermodyne Systems produced a wind turbine claiming to produce 1600 watts of power plus and that they were even improved because of their new T REX Blades which were supposed to be longer. I was not impressed with the blades and really upset that the thing produced hardly any power.
The piece of *** does not make 100 watt in high wind gusts on my 12 volt system. We tested this numerous ways and even bought an inline meter. The owner of this company tries to provide elaborate excuses for the failure of the product to perform. The bottom line is this thing is a piece of junk and the lower than average price caught me.
Good one you got me however we will be sure to let other know that your company builds junk and you do not stand behind it. As a buyer you should also know this man will tell you the sky is green until your e bay and paypal protection has expired then the problem is all yours. A WORD OF WARNING If you have a non performing product from this company get your money back while you can. They lie cheat steal buy false advertising on a large scale.

Thermodyne Systems Ghost Hornet Wind Rip off Scam
- Thermodyne Systems Hornet Wind needs ~20 mph wind to start.
- Advertised low cogging, but the shaft won’t turn without a ratchet.
Thermodyne Systems Hornet Wind is an American Company advertiser of quality wind turbines. We have three of them with a combined power rating of over 3000 watts. We have yet to see 300 nor will the things even turn until the wind is around 20 mile per hours. This company advertised low cogging however upon receiving the product you cannot even turn the shaft on this thing without the use of a ratchet.
Further this guy had our feedback from e bay removed offered us money not to say anything stretched the transaction out until the end of the dispute period for the transaction then had not further contact with us.
I have had a *** air 403 wind turbine in the past that outperformed these things by far that was rated for 400 watts.......The blades on this thing are too small as well.....in super high wind when the turbine does spin the tiny blade stall as soon as a load is put on the turbine.
This guys is guilty of false advertising and things that with international customers he can get away with this stuff. The area he lives in has law that prohibit such behavior and we have filed a complaint. If you have had the same experience your not alone!

We purchased a "used" THERMODYNE hydrogen appliances "commander wind turbine that was supposed to output 1600 watts per the advertisement. We have had this unit though 70 mile per hour straight line wind and see no more than 200 watts.
Further research indicated that this scammer has been screwing people over for years doing the same ridiculous fabrication of product ratings. Essentially we knew we had a junk turbine but having someone in the business break it down for you was icing on the cake. This is a complete piece of *** and we want our money back, however good luck contacting a guy that does not even have a better business rating or listing. This company as best I can tell is ran out of a UPS shipping store and has no contact information he will answer. He has changed e bay user names 5 times which seems consistent with a scam artist trying to remain evasive.

1500 watts wow, how is that, the PMA would be producing over 100 amps. This is a complete fraud.
Thermodyne hydrogen appliance I would never buy from them ever again. I received a Controller board, the back plate was rusted, and the Relay stuck destroying not 1 but 2 battery banks the item over charged the first battery bank and the other it drained the battery bank to the point of destroying the bank. Consumers what ever you do do not buy from Thermodyne Hydrogen Appliances, do not buy from HYEwind, on eBay.

THERMODYNE hydrogen appliances sold us a used wind turbine that appeared new upon arrival. The unit was advertised to output 1600 watts. This unit did not do so much a 200 even in violent thunderstorms with the 70 mph winds that I found out the rated power output was supposed to be after reading the fine print. While I can read a meter and knew I had been screwed it was good to get the independent confirmation from another business that was aware of his practices. While this guy cannot be found and is somewhat of a "ghost" just as one of his wind turbines is called we will see if he is a ghost to the FTC because my wife is pissed as *** which brings me to the site to report being about as pissed with a lying rip off scam artist as one gets. Also good luck reporting this to the BBB as he has no listing we can find... The IRS will be hearing about this as well as someone with that many feedbacks on ebay who does not have a BBB registered business or even a business license???WTF

This is a duplicate of the 1st complaint not much imagination. This is the work of a devious competitor.
They never upload copies of the sales receipts or show pictures of the item in question, in fact they have no real evidence at all.
As for the other 2000 people who own this particular type of turbine they have survived 130 mile-per-hour winds hurricane after hurricane with no problems. This is what jealous competitors due to their competition, kind of sad actually.
