I purchased one of your templates at Envato market. I am still waiting for the installation service which was paid for.

Constant told I cannot have a return but the ordered and paid for installation service has not been provided in over a week.

You costumer service reps are worthless. I am filing a fraud claim and I suing Envato for client damages.

The themes draw you in as they visually look good. All are actually bad.

All themes have code issues. The worst part is you find out after you've spent 20-30 hours building the theme only to run into an insurmountable code issue that affects everything you worked on - I have purchased over 30 themes and every wordpress developer on themforest SUCKS. They are all from 3rd world countries. I have purchased themes and spent an entire summer developing only to find that it used Visual Composer and placed 20 pages of extra inline code on background each web page.

The pages took 18 seconds to download. Violating Google guidelines. The theme would NEVER rank in GOOGLE. Business would be lost.

18 seconds to download a page. I never saw that coming until I spent 100 hours. Themeforest did nothing and I never even got a refund. BEWARE!!

Envato is a criminal in a sense because they alow junk to be sold on their website. I am investigating a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT to get the money back from the time I spent.

They owe me $20,000 and I will get it!! Here I come Envato -- you're going to get a *** kicking now - you ignorant ***

I cannot contact them, but they can contact me within the confines of the website I am trying to finish. I purchased KLEO Theme because it looked nice and I had time for the learning curve. I Am Not A Developer.

I just want to be left alone - purchase done... end of story.

So, I generated several API Keys for the theme. As I expected to encounter problems and have to delete more times than perhaps others.

Envato is now making their update plugin a requirement plugin for the theme. That's absurd as well as being intrusive and, its not gonna happen.

1. KLEO theme is not expensive and I can let it go.

2. Envato is far away and is not assessable directly.

3. I'm not pissed off, but what they're trying to do is insane and... ,

It stands obvious that their plugin is ransomware. Its not gonna happen.

Google "theme forest complaints" because there have been many, including the inability to get a refund from them or Envato Marketplace when things don't work right. I strongly suggest choosing a different theme so you don't get burned like I did when I had unresolvable problems with their Subway theme and Visual Composer.

I escalated with PayPal (Case ID: PP-004-836-50*-222), but after no response from Envato Market, the parent of Theme Forest, they are closing the case, leaving me no option but to warn others.

"I initially got a basic version of Visual Composer with my Wordpress theme from Theme Forest but later tried to upgrade and was told to 'Get Visual Composer Today' (https://vc.wpbakery.com). But even with that, I was unable to install the plugin and am moving to a new theme entirely, based on Genesis Framework. With that I have purchased Beaver Builder, a competitor to Visual Composer, so I have no interest in spending time resolving the installation issue. Just please refund my $34. Thanks."

gourmet wordpress theme is the worst theme. do not waste your spending your money on a theme with absolutely zero support.

they are filled with lies lies and more lies. they say they will help but never do, pretend to help but never do, so do not waste your money. they pretend that there is no problems at all but after checking, rechecking, reinstalling, re-reinstalling nothing solves the problem.

they make excuses as to why they took so long to reply to your support ticket and apology after apology they never help you figure out what the actual problem is so you are stuck spending more money or your time fixing the problem. DO NOT BUY THIS THEME!

I bought a template from Themeforest (from Envato group) for my new website in the year 2013. My web developer started working on the template to customize it as per my specific requirements. Post customization, the website was opening very slow.....I then and there itself marked an mail to Envato Market Help and got a reply from them saying that they do not provide email support and that the only option left for me to seek answers would be to post my concern on a forum. I was a bit surprised as I had paid full money for the template and I am being told to get assistance through 'forum' medium instead of direct email support. Anyways, I got no result even after posting it on forum. Now to overcome the problem of the slow speed of the website, I had to pay good amount of money to my web developer to make the template run faster. People buy template so that they end up paying minimal amount to the web developer since customization of template involves minimal work (as entire job work is already done on the ready-made template).

In the process of removing bugs from the template, I ended up paying good amount of money to my web developer. Little did I know that all my money being spent to get the bugs removed from the template was going in drain as the entire template had lot many issues.

At last, I decided to leave the template as it and asked my developer not to waste his time on it. I then wrote numerous mails to Envato Support for a refund after a few months. Luckily at that point of time Envato had started giving direct email support to it's customers. The person with whom I took up the issue was one 'Robert P'. This gentleman from the support initially showed some seriousness to understand my concern. I asked him to cancel the template license and refund back the money. He was quick to cancel the license and instead of refunding the money gave me a market credit (so that I can utilize the amount should I require any services from them in the future). But the fact remains that why would I go for their services in the future as the company is selling sub-standard products! Hence, I continued to ask for refund instead of market credit. Robert initially refused for refund citing Market-wide policy regarding digital goods further stressing on the fact that the product was downloaded. Later he mentioned that he can re-view my refund request provided I cite specific details about the problems I had faced. I wanted him to show the live demo of my site which was having problems but wasn't able to as Robert had cancelled the license. I asked him to revoke the license for a day so that I can show him the demo which he and his team can watch it with their own eyes. He never revoked the license and instead closed the case. My money too is gone and the license of the theme too is cancelled! This is a clear case of cheating. I have enclosed 10 screenshots (of emails exchanged with Robert) in support of my complaint.

Some days ago, I brought a woo commerce theme by my client PayPal account. After 3 months, my client refunded money by supporting with PayPal.

But my client did not know my themeforest password and username. My client was a fraud. But I think that themeforest is more fraud and cheater because themeforest did not verify my themeforest member area. As a result, license of this theme is being cancelled.

I lost $60.

I suggest themeforest to accept only refund policy when someone ask for refund by themeforest member area.

Otherwise, it will be problems. And theme quality is bad because it is too heavy- more than 17 MB.
