On March 6th, 2023, I received an email from The Trademark Company to perform a Response for our US Patent Office application. I responded that same day and ordered the Substantive Response Package for $399.00.
Then I filled out one of their web questionnaires about the business, trademark etc. I never received any information after that, so called a couple of weeks later and they said they were working on it.
A month later I called for a follow up and was told I needed to fill out an online questionnaire first, which I had already done. I was told that someone would call me back by the end of the day and they would get it worked out.
Im not going to detail the next dozen calls, but all ended with, Well call you back by end of day or next week. About the same time, they tell me that they have their attorney working on it well, never received anything from him either.
This week (130 days later, 4 months), I received an email from USTMO saying my TRADEMARK APPLICATION ABANDONED - FAILURE TO RESPOND TIMELY TO OFFICE ACTION.
Again, called and spoke with their staff and was told, Ill call you back by end of day. Never received the call, called him back the following day and had to leave a voicemail. Next day, tried calling again, but again, no answer, this time I asked for the manager, and I would like a refund, it has been 130 days since I ordered their product, and they havent done anything yet.
So what did they say when I finally got hold of someone? The manager will give you a call right back End of day, still no communications, next step, call the credit card company.
Not a good company in my opinion. So end of story, 130 days later, never a call or follow up from the company or their 'Account Managers', so please draw your own conclusions.

I needed to re-instate my existing Trademark. After Kyle the manager and his 5 different employees worked on this for 2 years, filed twice, USPTO has denied an already established trademark.
Obviously, after two re-filings and two rejections, The Trademark Company and its employees don't know what they are doing. But they sure do know how to run that credit card machine and ask for more money!

Trying to trademark a name and was rejected. TTC promised they would assist and get it approved.
My credit card was charged $249 in Sept 2021. It got rejected again. I asked if I should add x to the website, they said that might work. I did it.
Another $249 was charged to my credit card. For what? I did not authorize a second charge.
They did not fulfill their promise for the first $249 charge. Scam.
I see so many complaints now about them, wish I had checked that first.

I had to contact the state General Attorney to get the service from Trademark Company which I paid for in 2018 but never received. Unfortunately, even that didn't work (see letter below).

Michigan law authorizes the Attorney General to provide legal opinions to state officials, members of the legislature, state departments and commissions, and, under certain circumstances, county prosecuting attorneys. The Attorney Generals Consumer Protection Division also acts as a mediator in consumer-related issues, however, if our mediation is not successful, we are unable to file suit on behalf of an individual.
If your complaint has not been resolved, we can only suggest you consider private litigation.
We are sorry that this office is unable to be of further assistance regarding this matter, however, the information you submitted will be retained in our files for future reference.

Ripped me off for $800
Lydia, the paralegal persuaded me to file a petition to revive an abandon mark. They charged my credit card and They never file the petition.
Matt and Nicole never return my emails or phone calls.
They scammed me out of $800 I will report them to the bar association as well as the better business bureau. I will be in NC soon and I will be paying them a visit in persom7
Do NOT use them!
Matt, the owner and attorney, will not respond to emails, messages left with his staff or on his phone. I have been trying to get a trademark issue resolved for 3 months and he has done nothing and does not respond.
His office sounds great and says they will get it resolved, but they do nothing. NOTHING.
They are polite and friendly and then do NOTHING. Do NOT rely on them for anything!

Nightmare Experience
The Trademark Company contacted me to say my trademark was being infringed upon. They then recommended they send out two cease and desist letters on my behalf to a much bigger company that was indeed infringing my trademark.
What they didn’t tell me is that sending their letters would open me up for being sued by the larger company allowing them to steal my trademark or fight them in Federal Court for a small fortune. I basically lost my unique trademark because of those cease and desist letters and I blame the Trademark Company for not explaining the potential pitfall of sending their letters.
When I asked for my money back from The Trademark Company, they shut off communication. This has been a nightmare.

Attorney Matt Swyers owner. I applied for a Trademark and was given wrong information.
They took my money and left me with nothing . In my opinion The Trademark company is a rip off !
Matt Swyers can not be trusted. A trademark is a really important thing and to think that this attorney would do this .I just want a refund so I can go to another attorney who will get the work done. This Matt Swyers tried to up sell me he knew from the start what he was going to do and not do .
I think he should stop telling stories . That is my opinion and I have the right to state it.
