Verified Reviewer | Morgantown, KentuckyClosed business without telling employees
This local business which has a more popular location in Ocean Springs, Mississippi that is known nation wide & has many followers did not tell their employees of their plans on closing their restaurant. Their morning crew including the general manager simply showed up that morning to a letter on the door that read closed & the number to their Ocean Springs location.
It was later learned that particular employees were told of the closing & extended jobs. The owners knew all along what was going to happen & didn't have the decency to tell their faithful crew. This family has a food network show & claims to be an upstanding family oriented restaurant who depends on their employees & after this, that's a load of ***! We have news interviews of the co-owner laughing as he says that they need to just go find another job.
It's disgusting how they treated the backbone of their business & I hope NO ONE eats there anymore. Plus the food sucks anyways, it was always the service & the music that made it a cool place.
So I hope the Orrison family loses a ton of support after the stunt they pulled on good people of Mobile Alabama.

Outrage is mostly over his treatment of employees and his arogance in a tv interview. It's on youtube under the shed bbq with more than 60k views in last few days. Go see for yourself
They knew they were not paying their taxes, you know when your business is going to close. A little notice would have been the decent thing.
They have all gotten big egos because of a sucky TV show and they don't give any consideration now to their employees. :(
I wanted the show to be successful. I liked the Shed.
I don't like the way they handled this whole situation. It is wrong plain and simple.
Grow up, several businesses do that. It might not be the proper way, but then on the other hand you don't know the reasons that it happened that way.
