Hello I was so shocked when i went to order my shepherd the nutro large breed chicken and brown rice dry dog food and the price went up over $22 in a month since the last time i ordered it. I have had my dogs on that for years and they have done well on it.

I am unable to purchase that anymore and i know a few other people who feel the same thing. People can barely buy their groceries and now the dog food is just the same.

So disappointed!! Eileen Vallejo 313 331 ****

As of January 28, 2020 the company has NOT contacted me again. They do not want to take responsibility for there food making my dog and a lot of others sick. Sad just sad.

Updated by user Jan 01, 2020

I have talked to the company and they are stating nothing is wrong with the food however they couldn't test it as the bag was all ready opened?? Just read an article from Consumer Reports that they are being investigated by the FDA. https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2009/04/nutro_foia.html

Original review Dec 29, 2019

My dog has been on Nutro Chicken dog food for approx 1-1/2 years. I opened a new bag and with in 24-36 hours my dog had severe diarrhea.

I took him off of this and put him on boiled chicken and rice. I also took him to the Vet and was told after antibiotics to slowly put him back on this dog food. After 10 days I did this only to have it come back yet again 24-36 hours later! This was a brand-new bag that I opened in the beginning.

I took him back to the vet, and they put him on a RX dog food and more antibiotics. Now we did blood work up. I contacted Nutro, and they wanted a sample of the dog food only to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. It was never tested I am sure.

My dog had pancreatitis which I am sure is related to this food.

My dog also has high cholesterol. I will never use anything from Nutro again!

Nutro dog food frequent buyer program

Nutro Products, Inc. a Mars Inc.

division, located in Franklin, Tennessee doen't believe in customer service, I know you won't find any at this company from personal experience! I spent $450 on dog food that was part of a frequent buyer program only to find out last month they stopped honoring the free eleventh bag. I'm out $50 and they offer me a coupon worth $10!

They don't realize how much bad public relations can really cost a company. They are about to learn a valuable lesson that will cost them more than $50 worth of dog food as I will post this information on every available website I can as well as tell all my dog loving friends and Wisconsin's Consumer Protection agency.

You can tell as many people as you would like, but I doubt you are going to cause them any serious monetary loss.
