Poor customer service and relationship ,especially after requiring full payment before services are delivered and then not delivering Along with that after promising to deliver missing paperboy doing

See above New Subscription The first 8 days only have had 3 deliveries and prepaid for Service Called and reported and was promised it would be delivered later that day it has never happened This morning Sunday April 25 ,2021 same results After calling and reporting situation and then calling billing department, Finally Sunday paper was delivered As far as I am concerned this type of service is unacceptable on a daily basis, especially with the demand of prepayment Having been a customer for many years when living in Wilmington Delaware and being satisfied ,I am disillusioned and unless there is a mark improvement in the service I. will cancel my subscription I should not have to constantly question and call about lack of delivery

User's recommendation: Would not recommend to anyone unless I see a constant and consistent improvement.

Resolved: Lack of consistency in delivery of paper misses more than delivers

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Canceled Subscription.

We have started delivery on Friday April 16,2021 out of the first week we have missed getting paper 5 days out of 7 This is totally unacceptable and I am at the point of canceling my subscription I can be reached at the following numbers : 302 988-**** land line ,302-478-****cell wifes , 302-530-**** cell We moved from Wilmington Delaware to Selbyville Delaware and have subscribed for almost 55 years It would be a shame to lose a customer due to the above problem

User's recommendation: Would normally recommend paper but with this constant problem I have changed my feelings.

Terrible Customer Service and OverBilling and No Refun

In July 2018, I noticed that I was being billed $4.99 for online access to the Wilmington DE NewsJournal's Delawareonline. But, I did not have access to use the online service. Then, I needed to access an article for a job interview and I tried to subscribe to online for $0.99 special rate. I still couldn't access the online content. Then I noticed that on my bank statements, I was being charged $4.99 a month and $0.99 three times a month. I called the local customer service number and the operators said she would cancel all subscriptions and refund me $25. I never received the $25 refund and I called back. This time I was told that I need to write a letter to Gannett which I did and I included all my bank statements showing all the charges from Gannett to my account. I requested a refund. Here it is and today is Oct. 11 and no response or refund. I had called Gannet on Aug. 21 first and spoke to a seemingly nice agent who said my refund should be $78.82 and he would put it through. Then I saw a $21.00 refund. Where is the remaining $57.82 refund?? I am so frustrated. Who has time to keep calling when the wait times are over 1.5 hours?? I may be naive but I have called them again today. I am waiting 1 hour and 37 minutes for a call back. I am not holding my breath! Never subscribe to a Gannett newspaper!!!
