Extremely poor/non-existent room service
- - Pre-paid 4 nights; long check-in with license plate questions.
- - No elevator; room on second level; ice must be fetched from another building.
Pre-paid, unseen room, 4 consecutive nights. Very tired from driving all day when I checked in.
Waited in line at front desk for a room that was already paid for then I was told to wait in another line to let them know what my license plates were on my truck and trailer. I went to room which was two flights of stairs; no elevator existed. No ice machine on my floor. Had to walk to a different building to get ice; inconvenient.
Very small ice bucket. Room service did not stop by although I saw the cart go by. So I went to the cart after third night to get some shampoo, kleenex and clean towels. I called front desk and they said they would give a 'full service' clean up but they only gave me some towels just before the last night.
Room was also very old, had not been properly cleaned before I checked in. Dark brown splatters on walls in a couple areas and carpet was dirty. No coffee maker, no microwave, no fridge. No coffee available until 8 am at hotel restaurant.
Had to walk a mile round trip to gas station if I wanted coffee before 8 am. At least the sheets were clean on first night and bed was comfortable.
I am not that picky really. It was just one of the worst hotel experiences I've had.
- Under 500 dollars for 4 nights
- Inconvenient
- No fridge
- No coffee maker or microwave
Preferred solution: Price reduction
User's recommendation: If you stay at New Pioneer hotel ask for a remodeled room. Some rooms are newly remodeled. Have to ask for coffee maker, fridge & microwave. Don't expect any room service.
