I called several times, stayed on hold for more than hour on several days. Never got to speak to a live person

No one is available to answer calls. you hear the same music over and over and a voice that tells you that you call is very important to us, we look forward to assist you.

But you don't get to speak to a live person.

The service is not good at all.

It says you can leave your name and phone number where you can be reached. But it does not give you an option to do so.

Poor service/ as far as applying for benefits

I applied for foods stamps and cash assistance, and did all the necessary steps to receive foods stamps and someone in the department close my case out with no explanation they send you an email saying it's closed be don't give you a reason to why very unprofessional and poor communication then they tell you could find out thru the mythink portal still no answer to why my case was closed, then I go to the social services building just for them to tell me they don't know why it was closed because and I did complied with everything I was supposed to do to receive services , worker's that work in these building and at home just do anything with people cases which is poor services. Then I applied for cash assistance I have been to several different locations to see what's goin on with my case they brush you off.

now they have asked me to comply with job net work that's what the paper say that they sent out but not telling how do I comply with it , it says call the customer service number I call and they can't help me so go to several different social service location to see how to comply the first location which is the Dundalk office the lady say i will put you in the system and someone will call i wait for a couple of days and no one called so I asked the lady who help me can I see a caseworker she indicated there are no workers at that location but I can go to another location which is in Essex MD DHS I go there and explain everything I just asked last DHS worker at the Dundalk location, they just brushed me off saying I don't have to do nothing else , so I'm filling like something not right and goes to the 3 rd location which is the reisterstown office and the lady kinda explained what was goin which is something is holding on my record which is due to no fault on my behalf and has to be reviewed by some one before they can approve I receive my benefits. DHS building and people have poor communication . It's just very frustrating when people doesn't do there job and I wish I didn't need these services but I do . So now my due date to receive cash assistance is a day away and I am not going to receive anything I applied for service back in April and haven't received anything.

I am in a shelter with my 4 yr old daughter who needs things just as well as I do .

I just wish worker's would communicate better and help my case to proceed a little quicker . shakiahill65@***.com

Preferred solution: For Maryland DHS to speed my case up faster because I applied back in April and it June .

Waited 53 minutes and never got through. Tried reaching Cynthia Young at 4:08.

No answer. She requested papers from bank and my son's work. Letter dated June 30. Got it today July 6.

Wants all by July 10. I am calling Sen Ferguson to complain about lack of response, info requested in short time.

No answer machine. 410 300 ****.

Horrible the staff work at home now which is RIDICULOUS and they are lazy and unprofessional. They ALWAYS foul up my paperwork or lose it.

Confusing and inoperative Internet service for recertification

I am trying to recertify online now Ive run out of time Lesbian by 10 15 22 Would you Saturday today is Tuesday I have put repeated calls and they were supposed to reschedule me for an interview that never happened on 9/28/22

I need help settibg up Snap recertification/ASAP!

I am having major problems logging on I am recertifying and I am running out of time I need someone to call me immediately. Ive already put in for a callback today but it was like 71 minutes at 10:30 I need to reschedule a interview That was supposed to have occurred on 9/28/22 no call Evercame

I am trying to log into my account I even reset my password we didnt ask for another password. Nothing is coming up in the letter Another word there is no passcode number just text...

As of September 9th, I'm still waiting for confirmation that my 500 medical form was received.

To make a long story short, I filed for TDAP with Social Services (Hilton Heights District in Baltimore Maryland) on June 12th, 2020. It's September 9th, 2020 and my application still hasn't been processed.

Over the last 3 months I've heard, "No one is doing anything with your case", "Your case is just sitting here", "I've put in a work order", "You're going to receive benefits within the week", "You don't need to submit a 500 medical form, your previous one hasn't expired", "They need a 500 medical from you", "We have quadruple the mail we used to get, it will take us awhile to find your medical form." I've spoken to over 8 different people about my case (Leah, Mr. Cooke, Allen, Mr. Chambers, Ms. Kennedy, Ms.

Washington, Lisa, Brandy, Mr. Miller) and those are just the names I can remember. I've been nothing but polite, courteous and understanding. Especially considering the disarray that the entire world is in right now, due to the pandemic.

I went as far as to not file a complaint against them before because it looked as though they were finally going to do something with my application after 2 months, only for them to make me regret my decision weeks later. I'm not sure about other states, but in Maryland it is illegal to sell your food stamps, yet I see a lot of people doing it.

I didn't quite understand it before, but I do now. With the way Social Services operates, it's no wonder people are resorting to that option.
