Im in shock
I would normally recommend this hotel to just about anyone, until this past Wednesday, April 12th, I was there with my clients, having a drink at the bar, and we decided to take a few photos in the elevator. We had just finished up a session at a nearby studio, and thought an elevator photo would be a cute ending to the session. I've taken multiple clients to this hotel over the past 6 months (or more). Im courteous, respectful, I stay out of the way, and most importantly I always have my clients support the business by having them buy drinks or food, or book a stay. Each of my clients has done one, if not all three of those things. This particular day, my client set her phone and wallet down right outside of the elevator, while we took the photo, and within seconds, an employee walked by, stole her belongings, took them to the manager at the front desk, who then proceeded to turn off her phone immediately. When we confronted the manager about the situation, even asking to please see video footage, he denied their request, and pretended to not know anything about the situation. We spoke with valet, and a few other employees as well. No one knew anything. After valet brought their vehicle to them, my client then sat outside the hotel close to two hours, cancelling all her credit cards, contacting her bank, closing accounts and ordered a new phone. Today however (two days later) she got an anonymous message stating that the manager had done these things and was simply "angry we were taking photos". At no point, did he approach us nor talk to us about anything. Fortunately for him, my client is not confrontational - but Im infuriated and wanted to bring to light what has been so wrongfully done to my client by this employee. I don't believe this is a reflection of the hotel, but I desperately hope the hotel see's this injustice and takes action.
