Did not inform me that the holding fee would not be released for 28 days.

AI Highlights
  • - Booked The Hoxton Southwark for partner's birthday; £339 hold at check-in to be released at checkout; no code emailed and funds pending no replies.

I booked a show for my partner's birthday the night and decided to treat him . I booked The Hoxton Southwark.

Paid for the booking via a credit card. At check in, 27th June, I was told a holding fee £339 was necessary, but at checkout it would be released. Monday, I called and asked how long it would take and was told 2-3 working days. Called 2nd July, was told a code would be sent via email within the hour, but I didn't receive a code.

Called back and was abruptly told 5-7 working days with a Mastercard. Called my bank, who informed me that because the funds were pending and had not been released fully, the money would remain in pending for 28 days, unless The Hoxton did something on their end to expedite the release.

I am a registered disabled person and desperately need those funds to survive. I sent emails and no one has replied or got in touch.
