I made an appointment three different times with Heat Depot and they did not show three times in a row with no phone call. All they do is make excuses. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Excellent Service

The Heat Depot has been extremely professional and courteous. My wife & I Purchased a Carrier Furnace and a Amana Air Conditioner.

We also had them do the AeroSeal for our air duct.

I am a retired general contractor and have to say in all my years it was very rare to run across companies that cared about the customer 1st! Those companies always wanted to sell you their products regardless if there was a better product available.Kyle & Mike took all the time necessary to show me many different Brands as well as explain all the different features regarding the equipment choices. Not only were they patient and reasonable with us, their pricing and service exceeded everyone else that we took bids from.I would HIGHGLY RECOMEND this company to anyone looking for a quality product or knowledgeable service.

Shady service techs and extreme price markup

You have to watch out for this company! I will admit upfront the install techs do decent work however, when it comes to getting anything serviced you need to know that they extremely markup prices.

My example: I was told I needed a new Igniter and Motor Fan Capacitor for my furnace; both very small parts. I was told by a technician the capacitor was very hard to find, and cost around $140; for such a small, easy to install part, I thought that was an extreme price. Not being an HVAC person, I trusted what the technician told me and paid $189 (initially $247 but I got a military discount) to get the two parts replaced; because he had the "hard to find part" on his truck at that time. Later that day; after hearing the prices they wanted to charge my neighbor for repairs, I got online to check the prices of the two parts I had installed.

I could have gotten the parts I needed at Wal-Mart and Sears for a total of $16.30 and installed them myself; but I trusted the technician on the "hard to find part" aspect. I complained that evening about the $170 price difference to an office worker (Patty) and was not so politely told I could always order the parts and do the work myself, but they warranty their work and professionally install the parts...so...basically I was charged what I was charged. Really, less than $20 in parts and maybe 15-20 minutes of work and they charged $189; in addition to already being at my house for service that I already paid for two months earlier (explanation below). What a joke!

They have lost a customer and I will never refer this company to anyone because they are dishonest, unorganized and price gouge. Side Note: When I had my A/C replaced I paid to have the furnace and blower cleaned at another time. Two months after the A/C install (two months because I wanted to see how long it would take for them to actually follow through on the work I prepaid for; and they didn't; obviously not a detail oriented company), I had to call and remind the company that I paid to have furnace work done. Thinking if I didn't call them, I would have never heard from them to get the furnace work done that I paid for two months earlier.

Oh yeah, AND, when I had the A/C installed I qualified for a whole house duct cleaning, free of charge. They never mentioned that to me at all from the beginning; I happened to come across the coupon on a website and let them know I qualified for a free duct cleaning. Again, probably would have never heard a thing about that if I didn't find it myself.

Just saying, you have to watch out for this company. The install teams are great, it's the service techs that get a hefty commission for whatever they can sell you (a statement made directly from a new tech who helped fool me) are the ones you need to be weary of; the more the NON-HVAC person knows, the more the service techs will seem like your best friends who want to take care of you; don't fall for it folks!!

The Heat Depot Air Duct Cleaning And Furnace Review from Aurora, Colorado

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have spent $500 on legal fees and numerous personal calls since Nov. 10, 2015 asking the "owner" for their bonding company to cover employee theft.

The "owner" refuses to give that to me or my attorney. His employee, the tall furnace guy, says he didn't steal from me. He stole my grandkids Christmas money. Police believe he did, but since the tall furnace guy had his back to me shoving my money into his waistband (I didn't know that was what he was doing), this guy gets a free pass from prosecution.

I couldn't see the money in his hands, but all other 2 suspects have been cleared. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!! The "owner" especially, does not care about customer service. All he cares about is a closed police report.

A police report he's never read. If an employee of his steals from you, the "owner" will jam it down your throat and force you, like me, to accept his employee theft. Then he'll send the same guy into someone else's home!

Don't put yourself through what I've been through. You get what you pay for, so if you want to pay an additional $400 for little more than hassle and heartbreak, go for it.
