Unethical and complete disregard for the children in a case.
Destroys Families
This guy definately drags out your case and takes your money. Most importantly, he cannot stand children and wants to take them away from the parent that he is not representing and will do everything he can to destroy that relationship.
The reason being he is more concerned about getting the money out of his clients with total disregard for children. He is heartless.
I can only imagine how many families have been destroyed because of this man. He will use family members against each other to prolong the case.
He has been in a psychiatric ward a few times and has a criminal history which involves a felony.

this guy is the worst. he gives you a false sense of security when you meet him.
Then, you give him money and you have to babysit him. he won't take phone calls. we had to go into his office (without an appointment because he avoids you, and he was upset because we came during his lunch hour.
We finally had enough, after paying him $15,000 and nothing....went to get our files and had to pay another $700 to get our records...which were in a box all mixed up. He's a thief.
I am very sorry that this person has had a bad experience with our office or me. I invite him or her to contact me personally to attempt to resolve any issues that he has with our representation.
Even one unsatisfied client is very troubling to me. We have over 28 reviews from clients on avvo.com. Only 2 are negative. Check out those reviews at avvo.com.
They are written by real clients who are happy with our services. Most of our clients don't take the time to write a review. However, the few that choose to do so seem to be pretty happy with us. Of course, negative reviews hurt your pride.
However, we try to take those negative reviews and see how we might have done better. In our office, not only do I make myself available to my clients via my cell phone, but each client has a paralegal assigned to their particular case. We make ourselves available after hours, on weekends and virtually any hour of the day. We process our cases in a quick and efficient manner.
However, in almost every family law case, there is a telephone book full of paper that must be filed. This takes client cooperation in getting that necessary work completed. Furthermore, in hotly contested cases, the 19th Judicial Circuit does not have enough judges to handle the caseload. Thus, for even a 30 minute hearing we have to wait as long as 60 days just to get hearing time.
It is very frustrating for me and my clients that we have to go through such difficulties. In any event, not every client is going to be happy, no matter what efforts you put into their case. Further, every case is not a winner. We do our best to win and usually have excellent results for our clients.
But every lawyer who actually tries cases will have some losses.
They are inevitable. In any event, if the person who wrote this complaint would like to contact me, I will do my very best to make it right
Wow! And the whole time I was thinking that I was the only one that he did it to.
No if's ands or buts: this Gufford character should have been disbarred a long time ago. That is all I care to say at this point.
There is only one thing that matters to Gufford, that is collecting as much money as possible from his clients. Such a disgrace!
He is doing it to me too. And is is rude and insulting.
