We purchased a timeshare at the Grand Mayan San Jose Del Cabo . Upon receiving our papers we noticed there were many fees involved that we were not made aware of. The sales representative misrepresented what the contract/membership entailed. we had been trying to get out of the timeshare and they were saying its too late to cancel it. Seeking legal means of timeshare contract cancellation. we found a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions... Read more

Going through same mess as we bought the services contract only in 2015. Sometimes a lot of wrangling (squeaky wheel gets the grease) is necessary, but it should not be. I will not sign on again and yes the same representations were made to us. Good Luck!!!

We were approached by the most smooth talking saleswoman ever. The customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WASTED SO MUCH MONEY!!!!! They lied about what we would get for our money (dropped the price from $47,000 to $1,700 - that should have been our #1 hint). Now if I ever need to book, I wait over two hours on the phone, get TRANSFERRED, THEN TRANSFERRED AGAIN ETC. It's an entire DAY just to get through. They... Read more

Well we get back to the USA and listed our with 2 of the companies they recommended no luck. Last summer July 2015 I went vacation to Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico, when you are walking around the shopping center of this city there is people inviting you to a free breakfast to some new resort that is in construction right now, trying to sell you condominiums, after they were not successful in their first try, at the door someone stop you because they really want to take your money... Since I purchased Grand Mayan in 2010 , I just used 2 times. They NEVER let us know about the deposit of our week. We lost like 3 of our weeks.

They shovel paper's and later they say you had a chance to read the contract and everything is mislead. They offer money back but you can only use it on things you don't want and concierge and reception said they don't know what the sales person offered. They really manage to make believe that you can use the benefits within the resort and is a lie. No one in the resort knows or they play dam .

The Vidanta Group, Vida Vacations, Mayan Palace and Vacation Privileges people are not to be trusted and are among the best I have ever seen at separating you and your hard earned money. I have all the documentation to prove this and will provide it to anyone who emails me. My wife and I were accosted in early October 2015 at the Rental Car place (Thrifty) in Cancun. A mild mannered guy was very smooth and got us to go to a sales presentation... Read more

We purchased a vacation package for $2000 in June of 2014 for the Grand Mayan in Cabo San Lucas. It was a heavy sales pitch which included a tour, leading us to believe the package we bought was for this resort. Attempted to find available weeks at this Mayan resort but no weeks ever available. Also at the time of purchase we were told it included a two year vacation membership, now they want another $99/year to stay active saying we did not pay... Read more

During our presentation at this resort we agreed upon a deal where they would purchase our timeshare with Vacation Villas at Fantasy World in Florida. They have not completed the transfer. I believe they never had any intention of doing so. My advise to anyone concerned is to get your free whatever and get out of there as quickly as possible. The sells rep we talked to was Drew Shalble. The main reason I purchased from the was to get out... Read more
