i paid in full my insurance policy of $2000 and then next week i get a bill for an additional $200 dollars... i called and inquired why i owe more and couldnt get a reason past that i didnt pay the whole amount originally after i was told it was paid in full... every 6 months they kept adding $200 dollars to my policy even though no one ob ny policy has even gotten a single parking ticket... to top things off they were going to cancel my policy... Wosrt insurance company ever... The department that takes your money is really helpful... The department that deals with your insurance claims are the laziest most worthless human beings I've come across...a month after getting rear ended and now I'm having to go after the people that hit me myself..... I'm so pissed that I'm required to have this but they are not required to do jack *** apparently !! Do yourself a favor and pay more money for... Read more

The General insurance is a complete rip off. I started a policy on 10/12 and found cheaper insurance with another company on 10/13, I called and tried to cancel, but the agent said she was unable to cancel being that it was very new and told me to send a fax, I however sent an email and I was told that i would owe $13 and im thinking they would take it out of the $323 down payment I made. The General insurance company is so dumb. I'm not sure why the staff there are the same as the company. Idiots working for idiots. I am glad I don't have them for policy.

Worst experience with auto insurance they over charge you so don't believe the dumb commercials that state save you money and then when you get miss informed oh your getting a refund then when you call back they say you owe that money because the rep you previously talked to did not read the screen correctly and now it's your problem horrible customer service don't insure with them they will just take your money Read more

The general insurance company has horrible customer service if you can even reach a live person. They charge you fees for their errors etc. Don't even try them pay more if you have to but go with some one else. They are horrible and should not be allowed to conduct business .

My daughter was hit by a General customer. She is still suffering,no vehicle and it's been a mo th and no resolution. They are still "investigating".

Have had the General for over 10 years dropped Geico as they had no grace period never have I experienced what's said in these reviews .Yes I have filed claims which have always be handled with great efficiency check sent directly to the repair shop. As such i would not switch having used other companies. Questions are answered in a very professional manner with follow up.

My girlfriend got into a serious accident and the adjuster gave us a,pay off of our vehicle, and told us he was cutting a check, once we told him we have a attorney he tried to get out of paying for our vehicle, and wont return our calls even when our attorney explain our case is not against the general, its been 2 months and our vehicle not paid off

I am pissed. I was hit by a general customer who had ran a red light on June 14, 2016. Today July 27, 2016 my claim still hasnt been fulfilled. I ended up getting a rental car, of which I got a bill for, 2 weeks later. Of which i had turn in a week and a half before I gotten any money... just the offer.
