I was financialy unstable

I'm requesting some documentation from about payment and that might have to claim that my car was not covered... because I could not pay my premium monthly installments on time I inevitably park the car for their cancellation we're final..so when I got my SSI I sent my monthly payments on 7/4/2023. So that covers till 8/4.. well they lie and people are selling it but not keep ing their agreement. They said in past payment well that is not true..I owe them o0

They were no help at all. Said it was totally my responsibility even though their customer hit my car. My car has been sitting in limbo because they are not willing to pay for the necessary safety items required by Acura. The General is the worst insurance company it their customer is at fault

Question about the refund for policy cancellation. Your email account does not allow me to send what you need. VERY FRUSTRATING!!Also was emailed something to sign which it did not allow me to do.

First of all they told me my policy would be canceled as of August 4 and then they debited my account anyway AND increased my premium significantly. Not sure this is legal and will be checking with my bank. Very complicated and not worth it.

The General insurance company sucks at representing their clients

The General Insurance Company refused to represent me in a auto accident committed by another driver. The other insurance company begged for General to pay for my vehicle repairs and then come after them for compensation.

They refused to repair my vehicle while they wait for all claims to be finalized, meanwhile my truck isn't being repaired sitting at the shop going on 4 months, I am renting a vehicle since the date of the accident December 22, 2022. They dont care about me renting a vehicle either that is coming out of my pocket. I now must pay for my vehicle out of my own pocket which I really dont have the money to pay for.

DONT BUY INSURANCE FROM THEM. Accident happened in Stafford, Virginia 22554

Getting the run around

I have tried to respond to a claim against me with my side of the story and photos. Both Anita Copeland and Adam Resha, insurance adjusters, ignored my calls, gave me a number that is no longer in service, gave me incorrect extension numbers. Making it impossible for me to respond the claim. I finally reached Adam and he yelled at me and told me to shut up and listen when I explained he just gave me incorrect email and phone ext. I feel traumatized.

Horrible Service !!

Horrible experience trying to get them to file a COC for me. I've called 8 different times trying to get them to file a COC to the bmv for me as a non owner operating someone else's vehicle.

The last guy I spoke with didn't even know what I was talking about when I said I needed a certificate of compliance. He had to put me on hold to look up Indiana code!! Ridiculous! The people they have working for them have no idea what they are doing!

It literally says on Indiana's official website [https://www.in.gov/bmv/resources/insurance-agents/electronic-insurance-forms-submission-faqs/] Under Other Questions > What if my customer is driving another person's vehicle at the time of the incident: "If the involved driver is operating another persons vehicle, without an operators policy, that driver should contact the vehicle owners insurance company and request that they submit proof of insurance. Providing that the vehicles driver is not excluded from the vehicle owners policy, the BMV will typically accept proof of insurance from the vehicle owners insurance provider." That means by Indiana's LAW I should be able to contact them regarding the vehicle owner's policy and personally have them file the COC for me without having to involve the policy owner because IN law requires proof of insurance for any citation or incident even if the charges are dropped or overturned. I've dealt with several "customer service representatives" who are certainly not actual insurance agents that have no regards to IN laws and have given me multiple excuses as to why they are unable to help me. A few of them refused to do it because I'm not the policy owner which is directly in conflict with the quoted phrase above, while two others said they can't file a COC for me because my name isn't specifically listed on the policy which again goes against the guidelines outlined on the official government website.

The guy that didn't even know what a certificate of compliance was at first told me he spoke to a supervisor, and they told him he can't do anything because I'm not the listed policy owner [even though I paid for it with my own bank card] and I would have to have the policy owner call even after I directly quoted the government website multiple times. I asked to speak to a supervisor, and he told me that's not going to happen as he just talked to them and thats what they told him to say. He continued to tell me HE DOESN'T CARE what I say, he's not doing anything for me! Do not waste your money with this ridiculous 1-800 number *** service provider because if you ever need them they won't be there for you.

I called State Farm when I received a citation under a different person's policy in the past, and they had absolutely no issue filing a COC for me as a non owner of their vehicle. I didn't have to have the policy owner call (because that IS the ACTUAL INDIANA LAWS) and they gave me no hassle and resolved the issue in one day because they are actual insurance agents that know what they are doing unlike these generic customer service people the General is probably outsourcing from some cheap "remote workers" company. He really said he doesn't care. I haven't been able to get my license back for over two years as a direct result of their negligence, and he said he doesn't care about it.
