I have booked through booking.com, less than 24 hours ago, as a favour for someone, i have put my card details, and wanted to cancel in less than 24 hour, eventhough the booking check in time is still more than 24 hour. They refused, I called Booking.com, they confirmed that they are not charging me anything, it is the Churchill hotel, I called the hotel, they lied and gave different answers within 3 calls, they claim booking is taking the money, and because the booking is through a third party they declined my request to wave the fees, it is like revenge on third party bookings!!!

I messaged them, booking.com emailed them to cancel for free, they declined twice.

I told them the booking is for another person, they are suppose to pay on arrival but they had an emergency, I told them I will be financially broken and in financial hardship because i am not suppose to pay for this, they declined my request. I even sent a request to partially wave the fees, as well, they declined.

It is not even 24 hour since the boking was done !!! Where is the consumer right and cooling period, or maybe to correct a mistake!!!

They are greedy and scam because they lied twice about the money not going to them, they refused to approve the email sent to them officially from booking.com.

They are not respectful speaking on the phone, I hope calls were recorded, they hang up on me calling booking.com silly. they lied in my face and were rude.

I don't have to be charged if I am giving them more than 24 hour notice and the reservation was done in less than 24 hour!!!

I am litterally crying because this sum will be deducted from my account.

Neve again favour to anyone, I try to be human but on the other hand the Churchill Hotel in York people push you to be mean and unfriendly. They are not human, I was explaining and begging them to cancel, they are really bad hearted people and NOT FAIR
