Verified Reviewer |My late husband set up auto-pay for the...
- - Auto-pay set by prior owner; card off.
- - Wants account under their name with a new card or paper bill.
- - Cannot log in; support couldn't help.
My late husband set up auto-pay for the online subscription; his credit card is now deactivated. I want to switch the account to my name and card, or switch to receiving a paper bill.
Unfortunately, I don't have the account number. The password field is filled in on the screen to log into the account, but it won't let me in.
I called customer service but wasn't able to provide the info that the rep needed and then was cut off. How can we fix this?
Preferred solution: All I want is to switch the online autopay account from my late husband's name & card to mine, OR change to getting a paper bill in the mail.

User's recommendation: Keep trying- maybe this lack of response to my complaint was a aberration.

- - I can't access my digital Boston Globe or sign in.
- - I tried calling customer service with no resolution; please resume my subscription.
NO HELP FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I'M NOT GETTING MY DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION AND NOW CAN'T SIGN IN EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN A SCRIBER FOR YEARS.
WILL CUSTOMER SERVICE PLEASE RESPOND AND FIX THIS!!
I am not getting my digital Boston Globe; this started about 4 days ago. I have tried to call, etc but got nowhere-- please resume my digital subscription!
User's recommendation: I HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY RESPONSE OR SOLUTION TO MY VERY SMALL REQUEST OF FIXING MY DIGITAL SUBSCRIPTION.
Digital Delivery has stopped; no help from Customer Service
- - Help phone number does not offer solutions.
- - Digital BG delivery stopped several days ago.
- - After password change, sign-in shows incorrect and fails.
Your help phone number does not offer solutions to my complaint-- that my digital delivery of the BG has stopped (several days ago). I went through the PissedCustomer e-mail and got no answer except to change my password.
I did that and now I'm told (when trying to sign in) that it's not correct and cant sign in. The usually no-help, frustrating feedback loop.
Please offer some suggestions and solve.

No experience, the Globe has not responded to my delivery issue.
If the Globe could txt their subscribers re: no delivery it would give me/you other options.
User's recommendation: Avoid delivery. Purchase the paper at a store
Thoughts
- - Criticizes an op-ed that calls the organ a horrible instrument.
- - Bach's organ works are among his best; Wachet Auf is exactly the same as the cantata.
I was thinking about a notorious op ed(?) that said that basically, the organ is a horrible instrument. This was years ago, but what reminded me of this ultra misguided comment/opinion was, I was reading through Bachs second book of the Well Tempered and I was thinking that if the fifth prelude in D Major were orchestrated (ideally by Bach) the piece would be a lot more known and celebrated.
Maybe this author had the misfortune of hearing perhaps, someone who thinks louder is better no matter what, or maybe it was an excellent organist who was inspired to torture their audience Whatever the reason this seems (seemed) a little harsh for the King of Instruments. I hope the author reads this. And has a shameful expression on their face like the Supreme Court after President Bidens insights!
A proof that the organ is not so shabby is, some of Bachs best pieces are for organ, plus, in a music class at Brandeis Professor Eddie Cohen showed how the organ piece Wachet Auf is EXACTLY the same as the choral version in his famous Cantata.
One thing about the Globe that I have noticed over the years, and, Im 73, and I come from Boston, and, this sentence is too long! Ive noticed the precipitous decline in writing.
Also, now the Globe borrows from The NY Times and the Associated Press. Perhaps sports is covered better now but, malheureusement, the only sport Im interested in tennis usually isnt covered at all.
And back then they had columns by Mike Barnicle; and back then I wasnt even a big fan back then; and the guy who talked about duende Now, in their defense, The NY Times has also become dull as dishwater; its possible to go through the entire paper on Sunday without seeing any article thats a tiny bit droll.

My problem was not resolved . Paying every month without digital access.
Changed password still can not log on. Going on for 4 months
User's recommendation: Don’t get a digital subscription
Maddening attempt to copy the New York Times
- - Pop-up blocks access to paid articles.
- - Cannot access paid content despite following steps.
- - Considering canceling subscription, product is good.
To complain about your pop up block of your articles, which blocks me from reading articles that I have already paid for. I am not an online person and my attempts to follow the path to get to what I have paid for have been unavailing.
I cant tell you how maddening it is to be blocked in this fashion and I am on the *** of canceling my subscription rather than put up with this frustration, despite the fact that I find the product to be very good. Way to go marketing department!
User's recommendation: If you are a certain age don’t go there-it is too frustrating!
The supposed remedy to my complaint led me not to a solution but rather to the very same kind of pop up that I complained in the first place.

Verified Reviewer |Waiting time on hold
- - On hold 1h52m and 2h5m; paper not received in 2 days; online report showed 'Contact Customer Service'.
I have been on hold (so far) for 1 hour and 52 minutes. Disgraceful.
I simply want to report that I have not received my paper in two days.
Tried to report this online and received the message "Contact Customer Service".
If The Globes is so severely understaffed, then they must make it easier to transact online. So damn frustrating and unnecessary.
And now, after 2 hours 5 minutes on hold, I was disconnected
- Paper has become so overly woke and i am a democrat
Preferred solution: an acknowledgment that they have received my complaint.
User's recommendation: Read the Globe online
Can't login to my account
- - Former subscriber; signed up 3-4 months ago.
- - Cannot log in; says no subscription.
- - Charged $4.00 for 4 months with no access; no agent contact.
I am a former subscriber about a year and 1/2 ago. I signed up maybe 3-4 months ago for a discount digital subscription.
I have not been able to log on to the digital globe. I keep getting told I have no subscription even after changing my password maybe 4 times. For the past 4 months my account has been charged $4.00 without getting access. This is a total ripoff.
I have worked with online txt sites for help with no results. There is no way to speak to an agent. I guess I will tell chase not to honor your charges any longer.
You have terrible customer support like nothing I have ever seen. I guess I will get my news on tv now.
User's recommendation: Don’t sign up for digital. If you have problems there is no one that can help you. Such poor customer service. They take your money and do not give you access to their paper.

Accidentally subscribed due to a fat finger tap. It has been impossible to reach customer service for the last week. Since I live in Oklahoma, I have not needed the daily detail of the BOSTON GLOBE.
