The Bioflame - This product is dangerous
We renovated our home and ripped out our natural gas fireplace to replace it with a 72" Bioflame burner. It was a huge mistake. The fuel is expensive. Our burner requires 21 litres of fuel at a price of $50 cdn per 4 litre bottle, so $250 to fill it. The flame burns clear for about 30 - 40 minutes before you can finally see some color. The flame jumps all over the place like the movie Backdraft because it is not enclosed. I'm truly worried it is going to burn our house down and I want to get rid of it and put a natural gas one back in which will cost us around $50,000. The Bioflame service department (one person) was completely useless and could not have cared less, he didn't know a thing about his product. I really don't believe these things meet code for indoor use.

The Bioflame - They lied
I spent an inordinate amount of time working through options and checking and double checking everything with their staff. On multiple occasions I discussed stock and delivery times and I was told that if I purchased it would be shipped within 1 to 2 days after paid. I finally went forward and made the purchase and a week later ( after chasing them for the week ) I was told that they did not have any stock and it would be 8 weeks delivery. These people will tell you anything to get you to order and pay. Simple, they are liars.

Hello, We want to address this unfortunate problem where this customer received a full refund for his order and claimed incorrect facts about how everything happened to him. During black Friday, our business offered several discounts to customers who ordered during the holiday sale.

This customer-first reached out on 11/25/2022. Our sales department informed him of the currently limited-time sale, and that inventory was subject to availability. After 2 weeks, on December 12th, 2022, this customer finally decided to proceed with his order. It is a protocol for our customer excellence department to reach out to the customer, share shipment information, and confirm which version of the fireplace they want since we offer different options, such as wall-mount and recessed models.

After finally receiving confirmation of the model wished by the customer, we informed him of the shipping lead time, which is standard, and that's when the customer decided to create obstacles because he wanted a fireplace delivered to him in 48 hours. We proceeded to give him a full refund. We also offered a more significant discount than we provided during black Friday. The customer accepted but again changed his mind and decided to defame our business in several 3rd parties review companies.

Our brand was established in 2007, and we have social proof of different platforms that we value our customer satisfaction.

Please, we ask for this review to be removed as it states the incorrect fact of the situation. We have email interaction and proof of this customer sabotage.

This review was absolutely true and should not be removed. I took so long to order because I was kept waiting for answers to questions re installation, stock and technical information.

The statements about receiving the item in 48 hours is an absolute lie!! Show me in any communication where I stated I wanted or you agreed to provide it in 48 hours. It was only after a week of not receiving communication that I finally contacted them again to be told it was now 8 to 12 weeks delivery. The only reason I received a refund was because I got the Credit card Company involved.

When I did make the order I confirmed the item was in stock not only on their website but also in a phone call with them. I have screen shots of their website as proof and also the emails and recordings of the phone conversations I had with their staff.

I once again reiterate my comment that I was lied to and misled. If you make another slanderous remark I will consider my position.

I purchased a Lorenzo ethanol fireplace from 'The Bioflame' www.thebioflame.com After 6 weeks the fireplace had not arrived, I was given a further 2 delivery times which were not met. The fire finally arrived whilst I was overseas, when I returned I inspected the fireplace to discover that it was damaged. I notified The Bioflame who quickly told me it was damaged in transit and that I was in the mercy of the shipping company but as I didn't notify them straight away they could not promise a favourable outcome? Some 20 weeks on I still don't have an answer? The Bioflame have not helped in anyway and have been very rude to me about it all. To top it off the burner is faulty, it does not close correctly meaning that the flame would not extinguish, which is very dangerous. This company is just an importer of products with one of their lines been ethanol fires. I wish I had had purchased from a reputable company where the product is quality and not dangerous. They have since replaced the burner but I don't trust their products and being fire I worry of its hazards.
