Remasters sound bad

I bought saint peppers lonely band, Abby Road, and white boxes but they sound strange. I remember the way my. 8 trac sounded and they were better. These things cost alot of money that I thought the whole family could enjoy. I’m trying to get my children to get away from the raps. So far I heard my son said they sounded gay. Why are they so different now and not like I remembered in the good old days? I expected them to be better, they cost a pretty penny.
