- - The attorneys lied to me.
- - They lost my case at trial and spoke badly about the black community and women.
- - I made a big mistake.
I have been lied to and duped by attorney Michael Cooper and Rich Barnes. These attorneys are the *** of the earth.
Not only did they lose my case at trial, but they talk horribly about other people, including the Black community and women. Don't ever call them—they will screw you.
Attorney Michael Cooper should be in jail for the crimes he committed 25 years ago. I made a big mistake.
- Unprepared takes bad about black people
- Lair cheats
- Blow hard
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Do not ever call these crimmials

Verified Reviewer |Failed to live up to advertised claims
- - Barnes Firm didn't explain our claim value.
- - They rarely answered; the secretary was rude.
- - They never filed a claim and delayed nearly three years.
This coming March 2026 will be four years since my wife and I first went to the Barnes Firm seeking their services. My wife experienced an injury while at a wedding reception.
The venue was neglegent in providing safety protection/. We took our claim to the Barnes Firm. They agreed to represent us. Unlike their commercial advertisement, they never told us what our claim was worth.
That was just the beginning of our woes. They rarely responded to our calls and the secretary was rude on more than one occasion, claiming we needed to be patience. Two months before the three years the State allows to file a claim ran out, we got a call from the lawyer representing us, letting us know that officially, the Firm was no longer going to represent us. They did not feel that it could be won.
It took them nearly three years to arrive at that conclusion. We were shocked to find out during all that time, they had never even filed a claim, leaving us in the cold. We had to rush to find another Law firm to take our case in less than two months. A Law Firm as big as The Barnes Firm should not treat their clients in that manner.
I wrote a letter to the president and CEO of the Firm whose headquarter is in Buffalo NY. (Richard Barnes) He never responded. I don't know why I was shocked.
Based on the needless delay we experienced, the lack of responses to our calls and inquires, and the way overall we were treated, I would never recommend this Law Firm to anyone! CLE

Verified ReviewerStill way too many ads and confusing with Cellino firm
- - Ads are excessive and repetitive, hard to tell which company is advertising.
- - The split brands advertise similarly, making ads feel overdone.
Company used to be Cellino and Barnes, and they advertised way too much, ad nauseum, pun intended. The partners split up, and now each advertises ad nauseum.
But because they advertised so much as one company in the past, it is easy to confuse whose ad it is for now because they are so synonymous with each other. They should both just take a break and get off the air already. Way overdone, ineffective, and badvertising on top of it all. The only one benefiting us is probably their ad agency, who might be saying more ads mean more business.
Not! All in my opinion.
- I do not believe their claims
- Too many ads so i immediately turn them iff
- Ads easily confused with former partner cellino
Preferred solution: Stop the badvertisung ad nauseum.
User's recommendation: Go With another company

Verified ReviewerWorst Company And Very Rude
- - They failed to contact me when I needed help.
- - Ads are awful and very annoying.
- - Principals no longer run the firm; one died and the other left.
I dealt with them and they failed miserably. They never contacted me again despite my needing assistance.
I wonder why all the ads are so awful. I thought I got rid of them when I left another state where they were advertising everywhere. If they have to advertise so much, business is probably not good. Regarding truth in advertising, they should tell you that the main principals are no longer running the firm (one died, the other left due to a major legal upheaval).
They should get their own house in order before attempting to assist others. Please, get those ridiculous ads off the air.
I turn them off immediately and find them very annoying. The ads are dreadful and the service was worse.
- I do not believe or trust what they say
- Ask how much you make so they can determine if want to assist you
- Ads are too many and very poorly done

Verified ReviewerNot Recommended - Very Rude And Disrespectful
- - There was a bad attitude when I spoke with them.
- - I would pass on The Barnes Firm.
- - They advertise a lot, which signals desperation.
When I spoke with them there was a bad attitude, like you report to them, and I realized I do not want to do business with this company. Companies like theirs with an attitude do not impress me, and that they advertise so much is a signal to me that they have low or no business and are desperate for it.
Plenty of quality legal firms around. I would pass on The Barnes Firm.
- Bad attitude
- Unprofessional
