Construction over charges and lein

AI Highlights
  • - Delays and broken promises stretched nearly a year with no-shows, causing water lines and sprinkler damage, unpaid subs, and a $9,000+ lien.

Buyer beware. My wife and I contracted with Mr.

Frisinger last year to build a shed next to our pool. We have a signed contract but it was not as detailed as it should have been. Shame on us. We did not put the time limits in the contract.

We were told to expect three to four months. Close to a year later after many broken promises and time delays it is finally finished. There were days and weeks of no shows. I have over 130 text messages with content concerning delays and construction concerns and excuses.

Promise after promise were broken requiring three additional trips from Minneapolis.. There were damaged water lines too my pool when digging due to their negligence. The sprinkler system was damaged in four places requiring a complete rebuild. Part of the contract included painting the structure, yet I had to purchase the paint and paint it myself due to the many delays.

He did not pay the stucco sub contractor at the site as he had agreed to. We paid the sub for his work to avoid a lien being placed. Water would fill the floor of the shed after a medium to heavy rain.. We rented a concrete saw and Install a system ourselves.

Adams firm also failed to pay the roofing sub contractor. We finalized that invoice directly for $2100. In the end when trying to finalize the bill we concluded that money was due to us for our financial involvement but had negotiated with Backyard Solutions on several items. We had a final disagreement of $800 and indicated that was our bottom line.

We were then contacted when a lien was filed against our property for over 9000.00 dollars. There are many items listed on the lien that were never performed by them...It has been and continues to be a nightmare that is yet to come to a conclusion. It appears that the courts are going to have to sort it out.

I am willing to share all of the text messages with anyone contemplating hiring Backyard Solutions so you can judge for yourself before it costs you a lot of time and money and aggravation. You can contact me at d.kratoska@***.net
