Horrible service for my Outback
- They refused to work with my insurance company.
- They made submitting an insurance claim nearly impossible.
- The service manager did not return calls.
Brought my Outback in for repairs after hitting a pothole. They refused to work with my insurance company and made it nearly impossible for me to submit a claim to my insurance.
Very shady.
Then the service manager would not return my calls when I tried to complain. Avoid!!!

Unethical Practices at Autobarn Subaru in Countryside, Illinois
- A $500 deposit secured a Limited Outback with a June 23 pickup.
- I wasn't told it was sold; please provide a written explanation and resolution.
I have a concern. I arrived at Autobarn Subaru in Countryside, IL on June 16, 2018, and decided on the Limited Outback. I was told to secure the vehicle I would have to pay a deposit of $500. The understanding with the sale representative was that I will return on June 23, 2018, to pickup the vehicle. I returned today to complete the process and requested to test drive the vehicle again. I noticed that the vehicle was the same in color but not the actual vehicle that I secured on Saturday, June 16, 2018. I wasn’t informed that the dealership sold the vehicle that I secured. This information would have never been shared if I didn’t discover it wasn’t the same vehicle before signing the official paperwork. I find this practice to be very unethical.
I was told by the sales manager he received more for than vehicle than I was quoted; therefore, it was sold. This wasn’t what was communicated with me on June 16, 2018. Also, I have read reviews this has happened to others as well.
Please provide me a written response of why this unethical practice continues at Autobarn and how you are going to resolve this issue.
Thanks for your consideration and cooperation in this matter.
