Robert and Rob Shedd quoted me a price of $500 to use their wholesale license to purchase a car at auction. After the auction Rob lied to me telling the car sold for approximately $3,000 dollars more
I personally had a horrific car buying experience dealing with Robert and Rob Shedd at THE AUTO BROKERAGE. They give used car dealers a bad name.
They are disingenuous and unethical! I talked to father and owner of the company Robert several times and he turned me on to his accomplice, his son Rob. We had an agreement to meet at the ADESA car auction in Framingham with the understanding that I would pick out a car and Rob would buy it at the auction the next day and I would pay him for the cost of the car plus auction fees and his fee of $500 Dollars. I selected a 2016 Ford Explorer.
Rob purchased it the next day. I asked him what the cost of the car was??? Three times he told me he paid $25,200, THREE TIMES. Which was a BLATANT LIE!!!!
I have the ADESA Sales Results to prove it. The cost of the car was $22,100 with a fee of $540. The father and son con artist team attempted to swindle me out of an additional $2,060 These people are crooked and shady as they come.
In an effort to resolve the issue I called Rob and told him straight out that when he went to the auction he had no intention on buying a Ford Explorer but he did because I was guarantying the payment of it. Because the purchase price was lower that what he and his father Robert expected they decided to attempt to mislead me and shake me down for the additional $2,060.
I called the father Robert, he did not answer and his VOICE MAIL WAS FULL- No surprise there! I also called his son Rob back yesterday 3/13/19 and offer him double what our deal was. I was willing to pay him $1,000. His response was I need at least $1,500!!!
My father and I average over $4,000 profit on each used car we sell!!!! Do you know what the book value on this car is. My response was Rob that wasn't the arrangement we made. The deal we agreed upon with your father was I was paying you $500 to purchase the car for me.
These guys are not to be trusted.
These guys are con artist and liars, avoid the AUTO BROKERAGE in WALPOLE at all costs! Additionally there was a complaint filed against them by another consumer with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.
