Loved this training!
I just took the family recovery certification with Tricia Parido and LOVED IT!!! The treatment center that I work for paid for the training and we wanted to be able to offer more coaching to the families of our clients.
This 2 day training was very comprehensive, easy to follow and left us with lots of information to offer the families. I highly recommend it.

I've been in the recovery industry for 16 years. I know of 3 individuals who took Cali's and TAA's intervention training and were bilked out of their money.
They were led to believe that they were Certified Intervention Professionals after completing her class. NOTHING could have been further from the truth. They were given a nice looking certificate with a nice looking seal but credentialed by no one but her. There is no governing body for Cali's training's.
The Pennsylvania Certification Board is the governing body for legitimate interventionists.
NAADAC does not recognize her classes any longer. She is a scam and most reputable treatment centers know about her.
Preferred solution: Quit
Loved the classes!
I took a class with Kevin and loved it. The Addictions Academy has 30 plus classes, all accredited and they even helped me get a job at a treatment center as a coach.
I am looking forward to more classes. Since they have so many different instructors, my next class is scheduled with Dr.
Weiss to learn sex addiction. I saw him on Good Morning America and I wanted to learn from him.

Dr. Cali & The Addictions Academy
I had an outstanding experience as a student of Dr. Cali Estes and The Addictions Academy.
I enrolled in both the Recovery Coach & Intervention online courses. The classes were very educational and I took away a lot of knowledge and skill sets from both classes. My only complaint would be the cruel negative comments that have circulated about TAA and Dr. Estes by a disturbed individual who should seek the services and help Dr.
Estes offers. Services and courses that have positively impaced the lives of countless people, struggling with addiction and mental health issues. I hope anyone who is considering becoming an addictions recovery coach, take a moment of time to check out the addictions academy student testimonial videos on youtube as well as the taa website.
Thank you Dr. Estes and TAA for your fantastic progroms!
- Mentorship of dr cali estes
- Flexible class options
- Excellent education and training skills
Cali is not a doctor
Cali Estes is not a doctor she is a fraud. Do not fall victim like so many
Excellent Academy
The guy making these accusations is a competitor trying to discredit The Addictions Academy. He is already part of a lawsuit with a cease and desist order against him.
I have been working with The Addictions Academy for over 4 years and I have only experienced the highest quality and integrity from its instructors. There have been several past students that took their materials and started their own companies also trying to discredit the original Addictions Academy. It's a shame that in today's world anyone can say whatever they please and there seems to be no recourse or punishment for the offending individual or individuals. If the academy was a fake, why is it constantly in the news?
Every large and many small news outlets have featured many stories and interviews. Check your facts and stop believing all of this fiction.

I went to a rehab facility that was featured on Intervention (not this one). It was a nightmare.
Staff tried to milk every dollar they could from patients. Things that were promised were not available and/or never existed. Lots of bullying from staff and other patients. Staff left at 11pm every night and did not return until 6am, so there was lots of parties, drugs, alcohol and s e x.
A female patient revealed to her counselor that she was a l e s b i a n and the counselor announced it to the 100+ other patients at a community meeting, causing the patient to start suffering from anxiety attacks.
The place was advertised and marketed as being dual diagnosis but there was no doctor, only a hateful old nurse from New York who stated that all females were s e x a d d i c t s. It was a traumatizing experience and this place is now shut down.
That’s awful. I’m so sorry you had to go through that.
I do believe this is why the addictions Academy is so important in training individuals on ethics. They go into treatment centers and train the staff correctly. I know they’ve trained over 500 treatment centers. I also know on the Show intervention the treatment center donates a 30 day stay in exchange for exposure so they’re supposed to bet the treatment centers really well.
I don’t know what happened in your case? What state was it in?
This is not accurate. Several of the A &E Intervention stars took it and got on the show and they went on to become teachers for us (Mike Dimond, Vance Johnson etc) and several clients that stayed sober took the class as well. In addition TAA has trained over 500 top treatment centers in the art of intervention and allowed people to get countless jobs in the field.

I see that neither Cali nor The Addictions Academy has no response to this review.
