Thai Express

Im a landscaper working on the property theres no bathroom access outside the only washroom was the Thai express at 3077 Mavis Rd. I went in and asked use the bathroom and they denied me and said I had to be a customer, and when I reminded them that that was against the law, they refuse me service and told me to leave

What a joke this place is. The woman at the counter had No idea what I was talking about for the deal of the day.

The sign was right above the fountain drink console. Somehow she figured out I may complain I ordered PAD SEW EE something I get everytime. And it being Sunday with Pad sew ee on the special she charged me $15.36 for my meal. She gave me one spring roll and no drink.

Even k was confused as to how and what she charged me for. This location has been around for over a DECADE. I always suspected they were stealing from the entity at no point did I think they were going to steal from their clients. This place is a spit in the face for all franchise owners of any hospitality services.

Firstly, the temperatures this week were near 40 degrees Celsius and their A/C was not working. There was not even a fan to accommodate their customers who were sweltering in the heat while eating HOT food.

Secondly, I noticed something unusual with the chicken meat.

I had ordered a chicken pad thai and I noticed the chicken strips were not shredding as chicken breast meat naturally would. After a couple of bites, I notice there wasn't any taste to the chicken and the texture was not the same as chicken. In fact, it was rubbery and just wouldn't shred, even with my fingers. When I recognised this was not meat, I picked them out and ate the noodles and the very few vegetables that were there.

I ate so fast because it was so hot! To be honest, I couldn't stand being there any longer in that inferno, otherwise I would have complained right there and then. Before I left I asked if their A/C was working, the staff member just said "No". No apology for the inconvenience or reassurance that they were waiting to get it fixed.

All she said was, "I know, I know." when I commented how hot it was in the restaurant.

That was the most expensive noodle and veg pad thai I had ever ordered.

Quite a while ago, the owner of this place gave us a free meal as a result of a mix up of a dinner order. Since then, I've been back several times and today was no different as I took my kid with me.

The owner was at the till and recognized me right away and started accusing me of fraud and threatened to call the police on me. He said I made up the email from head office despite me bringing in the print out when he originally helped me. I was shocked at this accusation and I made it clear to him that I'm a white collar professional and why in the world would I even make this up.

I gave him an earful and walked out. This owner - short, bald with glasses has issues and imo needs to take lessons in customer service and needs to watch his slanderous mouth.
