Shop was paid over $1700 to fix my vehicle. Refused to fix it and now has it blocked in so I cannot retrieve it.

State Farm had paid Tezak Auto body $1748.89 to make repairs to my vehicle. He cashed the check April 16th 2019, got my car in the shop May 10th. He still has not fixed my vehicle. Numerous calls went unanswered, no called were returned to me. When I would finally catch someone at his place of business, I would simply be told that there was a problem with the parts ordered. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This is a 2009 Ford Escape I'm talking about. How could it possibly take from April 16th to get a bumper? The estimate he had given said it would take 4 days, not 4 plus months. And for a company to not answer their phone or EVER return a customer's phone call or respond to emails is ridiculous. My husband stopped by a few weeks ago and spoke to someone who was sitting in the office. He was told that Tezak was taking a nap, but he would talk to him and they would have the vehicle fixed in a couple of days. Still, to this date, my vehicle has still not been fixed. I drove by on 8/28/2019 to pick up my vehicle to have it repaired elsewhere, but the owner of the shop had blocked it in on all four sides so I cannot even get my property back. I called a civil standby, called Tezak, as well as texted him, but neither one of us can get a response. Think twice before doing business here. You may find yourself out of a vehicle for a VERY long time and out the money to have it fixed by someone willing to do the job right and in a timely manner. Honestly, there should be a law against this sort of dishonest practice.

Repairs paid for were never completed and car is not recoverable at this time.

Preferred solution: I want my vehicle back plus a full refund minus the repairs already satisfactorily completed.
