Bad service ; no response to queries ametures working in the office
- - International director and counselors are unavailable.
- - Applied 8 months ago with no response; all statuses show in process.
especially internation director and counselor is always on vacation
you can never get hold of those people
only one phone in such big university
must be going bankrupt
they don't take applications seriously. they keep the international hanging because they know that they don't have to face them regularly like domestic students. I applied to this school 8 months ago and they have not responded to me yet. they don't care for the students future they will keep you waiting counselors like andy harris and norma Vallejo are shame .you apply to this school and then you will get an initial automatic reply from one of the so called fake counselors saying " your application is in process" and that's all you get even if you waited 1 year. while if you go online and check the status of the application. it will always say in process. very bad use of technology and they are fooling people especially the international students.
- Rude people
- Poor quality
Preferred solution: the counselors working there should be fired and they should be taught a lesson to take jobs seriously. they need more phones in the office such a same to have just one phone in such a big university and so called christian university. shame on the name.
Smaller Smaller BS - Txwes is terrible
- - School leaves students with debt and little payoff.
- - International students boost enrollment.
- - Tuition is high with loans and a meal plan.
Do not waste your time and money attending here. You will end up with a lot of debt and very little to show for it.
The school is struggling and started admitting international students to make up for. Walk around campus and you'll see more international students than American.
They get away with just about anything because they're charging full tuition - everyone else that breathes get a "scholarship." And your "affordable financial aid package" - included massive loans that you'll take forever to pay back. You may get a "free" room ($1,500), but you're forced to pay for a meal plan ($1,500) - so you're still screwed.
I don't understand why you wouldn't just go to TCC or UTA - they have great faculty, better facilities, and its cheaper.
(BTW the #smallersmarter *** - they're only small because no one goes here - when they brought in 300 internationals, they weren't thinking smaller - they were trying to increase enrollment)
- Poor quality
- Rude people
- Not safe
UNPROFESSIONAL Cronyism
- - The university hires unqualified staff due to friendships.
- - Admins earning over $100K should be available to students.
- - Only about a quarter graduate.
This university has repeatedly hired unqualified people, simply because they are friends and fired qualified people because they actually have an opinion AND (God forbid) care about students. A common directive is "your job is to keep students out of my office." If you're part of the administration that making over $100K (and there are many) - you need to be available to the people who pay your salary.
Lots of things are done "the Wesleyan way" which just means cheap, backwards, half-assed and totally incompetent.
Just because the school is in the ghetto doesn't mean everything has to be ghetto (but it usually is.) If you're paying $35-45K per year, you're better off going to TCU (or save money and go to TCC). Most students leave buried in debt, even fewer leave with a degree (only 1/4 graduate).
