Verified ReviewerNeed release of lien
- - Bought a car in 2017; title missing.
- - DMV says lien not released; needs Prescribed Form for Release of Lien; please contact to sign or mail.
Hi Ian, We bought a car from you back in 2017, and I am ready to sell. I couldn't find the title, so I applied for a replacement from the DMV.
They said you never released the lien, and we need to you sign a Prescribed Form for Release of Lien so that I can get a title. I have tried all phone numbers, and I even drove to your (previous) locations.
Please contact me, and I will meet you or mail you this form.
We were pleased with the vehicle for years, but we are now stuck, and I need you to follow through and help us with this.
User's recommendation: Make sure you get your title!
Do Not buy anything from this dealership!
- - Purchased car for 4600; it was inoperable within 2 days.
- - Car looked clean; issues not apparent during hours of inspection.
- - Warranty: 30 days.
The business model here is to sell cars at a good price without looking them over at all, and leading customers to believe that anything noticed is a small problem, and not one that could actually put them in danger. My boyfriend just bought a vehicle there for 4600 and like may other reviews that we've now found on the internet, with in 2 days it was inoperable.
It's completely shocking that for that price we would be sold a vehicle that had that extreme of a problem. It appeared to be clean and in great condition. It's strange how when we test drove it those issues weren't apparent. We were there for hours looking it over.
My boyfriend is embarrassed he didn't take it to an independent mechanic before he purchased it, but Ian at Texas Triump Motors seemed so honest and genuine, and the car drove great, and like man working people looking at used cars he really needed one asap so he could get to work. Obviously when you get a used car anything could happen, but it seems more than a coincidence that SO many people have MAJOR COSTLY problems within DAYS of purchasing. They are doing something to cover up problems in their vehicles. Do not trust these guys.
They will give you a 30 day limited warranty that they don't advertise but we asked for because we didn't take it to another mechanic. that warranty is only for 90% of what you paid, and you can only exchange it for another of their sketchy vehicles! We really had to save up for this car and it's so sad that a dealership, which is supported to be more trustworthy than a private seller on CL, would knowingly manipulate and sell vehicles that are total LEMONS and UNSAFE.
We almost got seriously hurt on the highway when out new car, one day in our possession completely blew up. Wish there was a way to put these dirty guys out of business.

Car #1 went 100 miles down the road when black smoke started pouring out of the tailpipe. They sent a tow truck for it and told my daughter to return and pick out another vehicle!
So they were "nice" and made her a "deal". Daughter paid $3750 cash for car #2. One week later, the power steering failed and while they offered to pay for the part, they refused to pay for labor costs to replace it. After a total of 11 days, the motor expired.
We had to pay to get it towed to a local repair shop that declared it dead. Essentially they told her "it sucks to be you". We have your money. Then she had to wait THREE MONTHS to get the title so it could be sold for junk.
When title finally arrived in the mail, Texas Triumph Motors screwed up the paperwork and had a lien on it!!!! These people are good salesmen selling JUNK cars - BUYER BEWARE!
