Texas Pride Roofing of Waco Texas/ Dustin Jones is a rip off

Dustin Jones who also goes under the business name Texas Pride Roofing of Waco offered me a free roof inspection, instructed me to call my insurance adjuster, then asked to deposit the check into his business account. He didn't respond to my calls after that, made appointments to do the roof and no showed, then when asked to return my money, he tore a couple of shingles off, told me he needed more money, then walked off and refused to finish the job or return my money. Don't open your front door. Beware! He is a scam artist!

You will be able to view the entire complaint on the BBB website in a few days. You will see that he was uncooperative and left the dispute unresolved.

You will also see that he tried to blackmail me by staing that he was not going to do my roof or return my money because I would not remove this post. I'd advise anyone to play it safe and use a reputable company to do the job. There are several insurance company's who also work on insurance claims who are reputable, insured, and licensed which he is not. A roof is a long term investment and if any problems occur, I doubt very seriously that the warranty he claims to offer will be honored.

I've also found out that you have an entire year to get your roof replaced after your insurance pays the claim therefore, you don't have to rush and get your roof repaired. Dustin Jones stated to me that I could have chosen any roofing company that I wanted and so can you. Do not feel obligated to use him and get screwed like I did.

And anyone who encounters any problems with his company, please email me at weaverkayjay@***.com with a description of the problemn that you had with him so that I can forward the info to the detective that is working the case. We may not get our money back, but we can make sure he goes to jail.

I know Dustin and his wife Melissa. They just had a judgement against them in November of 2011 for $3200.

They've been ripping people off for years. Get in line hun, they owe everybody.

You should open a case in small claims court. It costs approxiamtely $100.

After you win your case and he doesn't pay up which seems to be the case with this ***, file a judgment against him. If he ever gets a job, income tax, a settlement etc. it will automatically be garnished. You can also file a mechanic lien on his business which will prevent him from receiving money from any insurance company in the future.

Good luck to you. I hope you get this ***

I have nothing but good things to say about Dustin at Texas pride roofing. I had a old roof that I was dreding to have to come out of pocket to pay for.

He informed me I had other options by going through my homeowners insurance. I got a new roof without paying a dime. Their a busy company so naturally I had to wait my turn but once they started my roof was complete very fast.

Dustin also gave me a free ridgevent and helped with my deductible. I can't say anything bad about Texas Pride Roofing

75% of my roof is not torn off, I'd estimate roughly 25%. The allegations about me asking him to commit insurance fraud is not true.

I never had a conversation with Dustin after I paid him two months ago because he would not return my calls. My husband had to call him and he made five appointments with him and didn't show up to any of them. We're all intelligent people here, therefore, how can one logically excuse taking someones money, telling them they'd be back in 2 days to do their roof, then end up having this discussion months later. The work should have been done over two months ago like I was led to believe it would be.

How can someone be asked to commit insurance fraud when the original check from the insurance company was deposited into the roofing company's account and the final 25% check which is disbursed after the job is completed is sent in the roofing company's name?

It's very silly. I know the economy is bad and he's trying to make a living therefore, if he chooses to do my roof, I will glady delete this complaint.

please let me explain why this customer is upset. Mrs Weaver and her husband asked me to commit insurance fraud and when i refused they told me they did not want me completing the job.

i hand already removed 75% of thier roof and even covered it with plastic after they told me they did not want me to finish the job. i never said i would not return them some money off the job. i told them i would get with them the next day to discuss the amount that should be returned to make it fair to both parties. before i had a chance to get with them i got text messages informing me that they had an attorney.

so i got an attorney to insure me of my legal rights. as far as the "stiffed boss" goes, or trinity roofing solutions as i know them, they are the only roofing company i have worked for in the past and i had to help the customer get in contact with them to get thier money back. that money was deposited into thier business account. that is all my attorney will allow me to say at this time.

any further questions or proof you need please contact me at 254-716-****. thank you

He used to work for my roofing company. He took a check from one of my clients and split. I had to pay her out of my own pocket.

He's did me the same way. I gave him a parial payment, and he never showed back up to do the job
