NO Senior Citizen service!

The State of Texas Health and Human Services does NOT have any programs for senior citizens! They LIE to your face and tell you they do, but they do NOT! Unless you are on your death bed, or already getting help or money from SSI/Medicare/Medicaid, TXHHS DOES NOT HAVE ANYTHING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS! They LIE to you, tell you they have programs that help seniors, ONLY to send you on a wild goose chase of a LONG LIST of city offices, state offices, and charities that claim they help senior citizens, only to be told by these places that they DO NOT have any services for seniors nor do they serve seniors!! They just give you the SAME list of liars and frauds that the TXHHS gives you! Ive spent MONTHS trying to get help, as Im a senior citizen with disabilities, and I am unable to get anything from ANY of these scams and frauds!! They have PLENTY of money for people with kids that should NOT have kids, and PLENTY of money for drug addicts, and PLENTY of money for illegalsbut they REFUSE to help actual American senior citizens in need of money for rent, utilities, and medications! The local politicians are just as corrupt and useless, as they are nothing but liars and frauds as well! They have NO interest in helping anyone but themselves.as usual. There are some other places that claim to help seniors I found online for my area, but ALL of these claim they are supposed to help seniors and seniors with disabilities in need. And the ones that did respond claim they dont serve seniors. The rest of them I never got a response from! Our tax dollars, HARD AT WASTE!! User's recommendation: Waste of time and effort!

I have been singled out and denied benefits because of my disability. they are not ashamed if admitting that there policy is set up this way and tell me there is. Nothing they can do.

I've lost benefits two times now because of the fact I am unable to complete the requirements they have because I am physically incapable due you my disability. Even their complaint process must be in writing and returned through snail mail have contacted your civil rights office and the s ombudsman yet still I am denied and have not not had my benefits reinstated federal law through American disabilities act mandates that they provide an alternative method in which I can utilize to communicate and access their services however this has not been the case and instead of complying or providing any type of help or assistance in which I can independently use they have advised me to appoint a representative representative who can volunteer their time to handle all of my issues I do not feel this is right and I do not wish to put this responsibility or burden on anyone else I feel I should be getting an opportunity or a method in which I can independently communicate and interact with their services like the disabilities act says people like me are falling through the cracks and they know that very few will pursue this or have the ability or the determination to not give up User's recommendation: Be prepared to be discriminated against if you are visually impaired or blind . Be prepared to wait for hours for hours only to be told there's nothing that can be done there's nothing they can do.

They never answer their phone

Received a call pertaining to an eligibility interview to renew my snap benefits. I could not answer while driving so within five minutes I called back to reply to their message. I was on hold for over five hours with the same recorded message over and over. I called the 211 number and same thing. Just a voicemail message over and over. Went to their website and it wouldn't let me put my phone number in the box. Kept saying invalid format. Tried calling the hhs office in Weatherford. Same thing again went to voicemail. My next step will be contacting the media followed by class action lawsuit. The interview line only operates from 8:30am till 4:30pm so if they are that busy they should expand hours or hire more help. I've never seen an agency so poorly operated. They need to be sued for millions of dollars for their incompetence. Thousands of Texans rely on snap benefits and cannot get benefits renewed because they won't answer their phone lines. Something is very wrong with the Texas state government.

It is an automated system that cannot get me to an actual person who can explain the letter I received regarding my MC - QI 1. I really need this continued care. The letter states services will end when the public health emergency ends. ????

An explanation of the letter received from THHS regarding my MC QI 1 services. I wont receive the services I have been receiving for years after the federal public health emergency ends. Why?

Not caring for their customers

Pandemic is in a place where people can go back to work they haven't whoever is blessed to be at home sitting on their behind is hindering others from making a living because they are not answering emails you cant call them and this a major set back for those of us who have moved to Texas and looking forward to using our license to make a living
