Worst Experience

Purchased a property that had a quote from Terra Firma. Agreed to the quote and contracted with them with a strict timeline to rent the property.

Terra Firma advised to wait on roof and window repairs until the lift of the house was completed.

Waited for a break in their schedule. Reminded Amber that I needed to see the work. Called Amber later in the week. She apologized, and said the work had already been covered up.

Contract states pre and post walk through. I went to walk the house, and the floor was worse than before, instead of leaning it now cups in the middle. Also noted breaks in the chimney, cracks in the foundation, broken siding above a pier and a new opening above the electrical panel.

Time passes...

Called Terra Firma and they acknowledged extra support for the chimney. Had a representative come out.

Representative was surprised how the project was left. Took measurements, said it should have been done better. Also stated that the foreman was known for leaving sites in poor condition. Terra Firma to call me back.

Time passes...

Weeks go by, Mike fromTerra Firma comes out with another person.

Extremely unprofessional! They state that extra work could have been done. Im clear and say that I want the extra work, or at least the opportunity for it as afforded in the contract. Mike says there is no way they will dig back up, but both agree that a beam could have been used to level.

Contract says other costs may come up. I was never approached. Foreman never went into the home on a leveling job. I was never walked through the project, floor isnt level even though they say they could have done it.

Terra Firma to call me back.

Several calls to Terra Firma Later. Someone is supposed to go out and repair holes in siding, concrete, and chimney Oct 5th. Oct 6th, I get demand for payment and lien. Oct 7th, I pay final bill.

Speak to Clint (says he is VP) says they will do no more work, house is not level. Extremely unprofessional and rude! I have now left messages for Owner Ryan 4 times to call back to resolve.

Terribly disappointed with Terra Firma

Received an offer in the mail for 25 wooded acres in the Catskill Mountains for 4,688. That's 40% of the value for 1 acre in that area. That's an insult from obviously clueless, unscrupulous people.

TF has known for years that their foreman have been lying about the depth they drive foundation stabilization piers. The owner, Ryan Beckley, has known about this for years and still continues to employ the foremen responsible.

Shoot, he promoted some of them.

Why would a foreman do this? $$$ The faster a foreman is off a project the more money he and his crew make for that project. They are incentivized to cut corners.

Why doesnt the owner care? $$$ The more projects a crew gets through in a given amount of time the more money the owner makes.

Why is this dangerous?

TF was engaged to stabilize a clients foundation. The depth of the pier is prescriptive based upon pressure.

If a home required piers to 80 feet to be stabilized and the crew only drove piers to 50 feet how would a homeowner know until their foundation fails. Hopefully, it doesnt fail in a way that injures anyone.

Terrafirma scammed my 74 yr Mother by sellling her a unapproved product POWER BRACE . They worked without a permit to avoid having to submit design plans to get the product approval from the state building department.

Also they used concrete anchors that are not specified for use in less than 5inches of concrete . They will have to remove all the work they did . Terrafirma does not accept any thing they did as wrong making up excuse for unprofessional unacceptable work & unapproved products .

They know better but choose to not follow the law or rules . Don’t hire this company who took advantage of my Elderly Mother

If you or your company is needing foundation work done beware of "Terrafirma Foundations" They are based out of Roseburg, Oregon and they will promise you many things that they cannot produce. They will not honor their 75 year warrantee because they manipulate their contracts to protect themselves.

They are only out to take your money.

Deception by trained salesman will fool most people so don't fall for it, or you''l be sorry. Maybe by posting some negative reviews other companies like yours choose another legitamate foundation repair company that will do a better job an will back up their work.
