Don't bother filling for unemployment
User's recommendation: Move away or do not move to Tennessee
Incompetent Agency
- - Unemployment claim was approved, then went back into review.
- - I'm being penalized for working 4 to 9 hours a week and may file suit.
My unemployment claim was approved and the next day it went back into review. I'm working part time and reporting all wages and because I'm working 4 to 9 hours a week I'm being penalized.
Lord forbid you try to work part time! This entire agency is a joke!! I'm shocked that our Governor would allow such incompetency!
With inflation the way it is you can't live on 12.00 an hour and being honest with this agency will only cause you problems! I'm thinking of filing suit against them.
- No pros at all
- Bureaucracy
Preferred solution: My claim approved so I can pay my bills while looking for a full time job!

- - Hold times of 30-45 minutes seeking help from JOBS4TN/tn.com.
- - Hung up after talking with a human, no callback.
- - Almost six weeks with no answers; I give up.
The only reason Im even commenting and making a review is in hopes that itll help fix some of the issues at hand when trying to get anything done through the JOBS4TN and tn.com as a whole. When people file for assistance in hopes to get some sort of relief, and get placed on hold for 30-45 minutes only to get answered by an actual human and get hung up on and not a call back attempt or anything in messages, after literally being informed youre about to lose it all even though its been almost six weeks without any answers is very discouraging and stressful. I give up.

- - Alleges wrongful terminations, harassment, identity theft, and license issues tied to Regis Salons and Empire Education Group.
My name is Brien J Charles, husband of Tennise R-Charles. We're both top graduates of Empire Education Group/Regis Salons beauty school in Jackson Tenn.
I on 11/11/2014 and she on 01/27/2015. I discovered after numerous blatant wrongful terminations, police called into my jobs days after Tennessee Human Rights Commission (Chattanooga,Tenn.),spouse sexually harassed and bullied. You name it and Regis Salon and thrown it at us. I discovered February of 2017 that Regis Salons in conjunction with Empire Education Group had stolen our Tennessee identities initially and maxed out $30,000.00 Title IV funds accounts in both our names around the country.
0066 is the number on my initial Tennessee Cosmetology license #175758? I attended school #2903 ,again,of Jackson Tenn. I've contacted the higher ups their at Regis Salon . The aggravated cyber/ gangstalking is then ramped up exponentially!!!
The DA of Shelby county pursues vandettas to the 13th power!!! Breaking any law on the books to get her "man" and hide ongoing state and federal crimes. Tennessee Workforce and Development along with Tennessee Board of Cosmetology and Barbering have worked hand in hand with these criminals allowing these criminals to seize my cosmetology license and suppress both my master Barber and cosmetology credentials. Workforce and Development cut off our unemployment in July of 2020.
However over $8,000.00 of our hard earned unemployment arrearage was released to Pilot Flying J of Dickson Tenn while an "over draft" notice was fraudulently inserted into my spouse file.
We are blocked from changing our banking information by powerful Mac computers while we endure gang/cyber stalking daily. This must stop !!!
User's recommendation: Make sure you are interacting with particular state agency!!!

If she was terminated for cause she is not eligible for unemployment. Irregardless of a medical issue. In her case she has to activate her employee paid short term disability to prevent termination or if none exists take unpaid leave.
No she was not eligible for short term she was classified as part time and yes a medical is not a good reason to terminate employment I myself have years of experience as management Tennessee is the only state that is at will they do not care about the people just the business's that pay in
She did take the unpaid leave and was still terminated
