Tempo Air in Irving is an unethical, crooked business
The A/C went out several times in our new home over the past 2 years and the A/C is under warranty. Tempo Air came out to do the warranty work and the workers that came out always did an exceptional job. However, the fact that our A/C was having significant problems in the short time we lived in our home and it's a newly constructed home was something that needed to be addressed. When the A/C went out AGAIN, Tempo was called. The technician working on the A/C advised that our A/C will continue to have problems and he said he was 100% sure. He was being honest and answering a direct question posed to him. With that very helpful information we contacted additional people, including the builder, concerning getting our A/C entirely replaced. The technician had to leave and return with a part. When he came back he stated that he could no longer speak to me because something was said to him about what he told us. It was implied that he got in trouble for being honest. Needless to say I was shocked that I could not talk and get answers from the technician working in MY HOUSE about MY A/C. I called Tempo and asked the employee who answered why the technician could no longer talk to me about work he was doing in my house. I told her that a company that would censure an employee for being honest with a customer is an unethical company! She put me on hold and then came back and told me that all questions needed to be directed to the warranty guy and not firsthand from the person working on the equipment. I didnt understand how someone not looking at my A/C unit would be able to answer anything about it. The employee on the phone dismissed what I was saying. I could not believe it! Since when is dishonesty the best policy! No wonder more and more people are unethical and lack integrity at work! Their employers won't allow it! I fear that technician will no longer be upfront and honest with future customers for fear of reprimand or worse. Tempo's management and office staff are terrible, unethical people who will give you the run around, ESPECIALLY if you are a warranty customer. Everything was fine until we demanded that something be done about our lemon of a system. The technician did what every worker should do. Be honest and helpful. A company that does not want that in their workers does not deserve anyone's business!
