Tempo Air in Irving is an unethical, crooked business

The A/C went out several times in our new home over the past 2 years and the A/C is under warranty. Tempo Air came out to do the warranty work and the workers that came out always did an exceptional job. However, the fact that our A/C was having significant problems in the short time we lived in our home and it's a newly constructed home was something that needed to be addressed.

When the A/C went out AGAIN, Tempo was called. The technician working on the A/C advised that our A/C will continue to have problems and he said he was 100% sure. He was being honest and answering a direct question posed to him. With that very helpful information we contacted additional people, including the builder, concerning getting our A/C entirely replaced.

The technician had to leave and return with a part. When he came back he stated that he could no longer speak to me because something was said to him about what he told us. It was implied that he got in trouble for being honest.

Needless to say I was shocked that I could not talk and get answers from the technician working in MY HOUSE about MY A/C. I called Tempo and asked the employee who answered why the technician could no longer talk to me about work he was doing in my house. I told her that a company that would censure an employee for being honest with a customer is an unethical company! She put me on hold and then came back and told me that all questions needed to be directed to the warranty guy and not firsthand from the person working on the equipment. I didnt understand how someone not looking at my A/C unit would be able to answer anything about it.

The employee on the phone dismissed what I was saying. I could not believe it! Since when is dishonesty the best policy! No wonder more and more people are unethical and lack integrity at work! Their employers won't allow it! I fear that technician will no longer be upfront and honest with future customers for fear of reprimand or worse.

Tempo's management and office staff are terrible, unethical people who will give you the run around, ESPECIALLY if you are a warranty customer. Everything was fine until we demanded that something be done about our lemon of a system. The technician did what every worker should do. Be honest and helpful. A company that does not want that in their workers does not deserve anyone's business!

:grin I set up my winter check and Mike came out right on time. He was very detailed in his check and then review with me.

I would not let anyone else check out my unit but Mike and Tempo!!!

I give a 10 thumbs up and I have recommended Tempo and Mike to my neighbor who also now uses Tempo to service her AC/Heating unit. Quality and dependability is what you will get from Tempo and Mike !!!!

The service we have receive in the past 4 years has been great. The technician, Vince has always been very professional.

All issues were resolved and completed in a timely manor.

His knowledge was evident in his work accomplishments, which we have not had to have a return call for the same issue/or any new issues. From being on-time to assuring that the system is in working order to get my family through the seasons, I salute Vince and Tempo for a job well done.

I agree totally. I built a home that unfortunately TempoAir did the installing of a/c.

I have been in my house for eight years and they had to come out the first year for warranty work. Since I hade a two year warranty the other visits were from other a/c companies. Now I have a leak in the attic coil after only eight years and every company that has come out has informed us that our a/c unit was too small for the square footage of my home to begin with, causing the unit to work harder, and wear out faster. We also went to the builder who sent our email to the warranty guy, who sent back a smart-assed reply and stood by that our 2.5 ton unit was sufficient for a 2163sf home.

Maybe for ALASKA, not TEXAS!!!!! I will never in the future deal with this sorry company and hope nobody else deals with them either. BTW, the builder said other people had asked the same question about the a/c sizing.

Go figure, but they are right and the rest of the world is wrong!! Whatever!!
